Exterior looks great. I can't stop looking at it.
Handles well.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Cadillac CTS?
Stiff ride. Any suggestion would be appreciated as how to solve this problem. Maybe a different shock or air shocks. Has any one tried this and did you get a better result?
Not much room for 4 persons as seats don't allow for much leg room in the back.

I'm looking for an excuse to sell my CTS, so I can buy a new CTS.....can't find one!
It is a great and fun car to drive, powerful, comfortable and beautiful.
Pros....I love the exterior and performance.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Cadillac CTS?
Mmm.....wider rims, back seat space.

What can I say, I owned BMWs, Mercedes, etc. can't say that the Cadillac CTS is a better car, but for sure it is much more fun to drive!!

I was raised to say nothing, if I had nothing nice to say... so I will hold my tongue here on the PRO's...
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Cadillac CTS?
I would OWN THE DEFECTS, reach out to the public when a defect is reported (like the one I reported to you on June 21, 2010)- warning about my son's horrific car accident. I told General Motors that ALL SAFETY FEATURES FAILED IN MY 2005 Cadillac CTS - they could have cared less. My son was injured, as a result of the negligent driver hitting him at such force that he was propelled into 3 more cars - totaling 2 of the 5 involved. I had spent countless hours trying to gather information as to WHY this happened.... GM sent it over to a 3rd party who DOES NOT build the cars, DOES NOT sell the cars and DOES NOT care for its customer. With that said, I am so GRATEFUL that the United States Government has stepped in - A RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED FOR THE VERY DEFECT I REPORTED NEARLY 6 MONTHS AGO! Good Luck GM, you're going to need it.... I am no longer going to waste my time asking the questions - I've decided to let my attorney do it for me.

Has any one had trouble getting oil filter cap off to change filter? Mine is so tight I am scared of breaking the housing. Even the dealer cannot get it off.

I bought mine very used, 5 years old, with 75-thousand miles.
I had zero experience with a CTS before driving this one on a whim. What a car! It's a rocket!
The 3.6 V-6 has lots of sand, the 5-speed auto trans in the sport mode is sharp and seems to put the engine in the best part of its powerband.
I love the lines. I love the seats--very comfortable. And the handling is sharp, while the ride is comfortable to the point of being luxurious.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Cadillac CTS?
The interior isn't as nice on mine as on the new ones. Too much plastic. But the soft touch materials on the seats and doors are nice. They've done a much better job on the 2010 model. The lines of the '10 models are also nicer. And the back seat is pretty tight for larger people.
