2005 Ford Freestar Review:
Vehicle being too young for motor replacement, bought vehicle march 2005, replaced motor February 2010, transmission needs replacement, November 2010. The power train warranties for the vehicle sucks because I've had to use the vehicle for my work used lots of KM but there is no honor in the warranty.

Used to be good on gas.

The engine light won't go out although it has been checked and nothing HAD been found. But now it misses all the time and we don't know how to get to the spark plugs?? Any one got a suggestion????
Also when we got the Van we were told that we could pull "almost anything with it". 10 minutes after we signed and the dealer closed the doors they added this information to us "OH BY THE WAY YOU"D BE LUCKY IF YOU COULD TOW A GOLF CART WITH THIS VAN!!!!!

I love the look of it.
It is pretty roomy for a minivan.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Freestar?
There are a LOT codes that have been coming up on my van. It has had serious transmission problems. I am very upset about these things especially since this is a new van for me. I hear this is a common problem with the model. The transmission problems, plus the shutting off randomly like mine does. And mine also jerks and will not go into drive or reverse most of the time. I say it is a definite lemon. I am very dissatisfied with it. I love the look that is all that I can say is good about it. The gas mileage is not good either. If you are considering buying one I would say DO NOT!!! Too many issues, too many problems.
2005 Ford Freestar Review:
Very, very dissatisfied. Too many codes come up on it, it has problems. Transmission, and shuts off randomly.

I have 50000 klm on it and it is hard to start.
No one seem to know what the problem is.
While driving it it just quit. Everything just stopped.
I have a remote starter put in by ford when it was new.
To me this is a safety issue.

Safety and convienance features, i.e., Rear detection system, canopy air bags & stabil trac. Plus lockout key pad and conversation mirror and directional cornering lights.
