Pros: What do you like about 2005 Ford Mustang?
I love the body style of the car, almost bought an 04 but couldn't get over the 05 look, particularly on the inside. Some of the older models (before they went retro in 05') felt just like being in your average vehicle, but the 05 has this spaceship, high tech kinda feel and look that I fell in love with.
I like how fast it is for a V-6, and the car is very fun to drive, unlike all the other cars I've owned.
It also has a decent factory sound system.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Mustang?
Better paint job, more sturdy craftsmanship on the interior, power seats, better gas mileage, and more mechanically sound overall.
Also automatic headlights would be nice, and improved handling on slick roads (I live in Florida and it rains a lot, and the traction isn't the greatest in those conditions).

2005 Ford Mustang Review:
That being said, I enjoy all the above "pros" when the car isn't in the SHOP. Also, I bought the vehicle used at 36,000 miles and have spent close to $3,000.00 in repairs between that and the current 57,000 miles it has.

The paint chips a lot in random areas, particularly bad underneath the door handles. The inside of the car is mostly plastic, like most vehicles I admit, but in this car... things break or fall apart frequently. The lever on the passenger side seat snapped off, a bolt fell off the plastic lining in the trunk and the whole thing is loose, the plastic lining on the drivers side from the drivers window to the windsheild has become loose and detached, pieces of the steering wheel have fallen off (res , +.- , on/off ) the cupholders have become warped and mis-shapen, and whatever was used to lubricate the tracks on the seats is all over the carpets and hard to get clean.

I was very surprised to read all the positive reviews above, people mentioned very few problems. The MINUTE I drove the car off the lot, the check engine light came on. I was told it was the gas cap, and the dealership ordered me a brand new one. The light temporarily went off, but soon came back on, and it was at that time that I smelled gasoline... I parked the car at my house, and 15 hours later went and looked underneath the car and found a puddle of gasoline. I ended up having to have the entire fuel tank replaced. And I know the shop wasn't taking me for a ride on this one because the car was still under warranty and they had to pay for it. About 2 months later, the check engine light came back on. I was told once again it was my gas cap. Then, without doing anything, the light mysteriously went off. To this day it continues to intermittently come on and off. I am told I may have a leak in the fuel lines, the code is "emissions leak, small."

Next issue was the temperature gauge breaking. Since the car has a cluster gauge, the entire panel of gauges had to be replaced to fix the broken temperature gauge. NEXT, the car was squealing, and making a terrible rattling noise. After replacing the belt, it was found that the crankshaft pulley was actually in the process of RATTLING itself loose, and had that of happened it may have shot straight up through my engine. But I paid about $500 to get that fixed before it caused a myriad of other problems. The car is also very jumpy when its cold, acts like it doesn't want to get up and go, and jolts for the first 30-45 seconds of driving.

Think twice before buying this car, I know how amazing it LOOKS and it's so hard to not fixate on that quality alone. At least have some extensive automotive knowledge and skills if you do buy the car, so you won't have to pay for labor. It should also be noted that this vehicle had a clean car fax report, and had one owner before me.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Ford Mustang?
Style is great.
Overall dependable car.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Mustang?
The shaker 500 radio died on me and would not play cd's and drain the battery. Put in a better stereo, especially for the additional price.
I replaced the upper ball joints at about 80k miles, I would put a grease fitting on the original ball joints.

2005 Ford Mustang Review:
Good car, plan on keeping it for many years to come.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Ford Mustang?
This is my 4th mustang. I had a 1978 ,1983 GT ,1988 GT.

The first time I saw the 05 mustang I had to get one. I just love mustangs.

I moved out to Las Vegas NV and I always wanted a convertible but it was a V6. Let me tell you that this V6 Mustang was faster then my 1988 GT. I love it.

I saw the 2010 when they changed a little but my 05 makes me think of older mustangs. No matter where you go you will see at least 3 or 4 on the road.

I won't give up my mustang for anything.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Mustang?
I would have liked at least one locking lugnut. I had to go and spend close to 70.00 dollars for 4 of them.

I don't like that if someone goes into the back seat I have to fix my seat. It's great for the people who is going in to the back seat but for the driver I have to fix my seat. But I love my stang. I can live with it.

2005 Ford Mustang Review:
The 2011 mustang looks mean. Who knows, I might just get one but no matter what, my 05 will be with me for a long time.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Ford Mustang?
Retro look is great. I have put 260000km on mine with little more then regular maintainance brakes, tires and a right front ball joint. Traction control works well for winter driving.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Ford Mustang?
Needs interior trunk release. Because I drive my car in the Ontario winters the hood is rusting.
Seat belt rubs on neck and could use softer material where knee rests on center console.

2005 Ford Mustang Review:
I own a 2000 and a 2005, both cars are great to drive but the 05 is my favourite. 260000km very low maintainance cost and still turns heads.

No trunk latch inside car.
Auto dimming high beam headlights and auto dimming inside mirror.
Electric passenger seat.
