Pros: What do you like about 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe?
Acceleration is awesome.
Great handling.
Fit and finish quality.
Really hot looking exterior.
Lots of interior storage for a car this size.
Comfortable driver seat.
Flexibility of fold down rear seat.
Great positioning of stereo controls on steering wheel.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe?
Seat belts don't retract properly.
Better highway gas mileage - I don't get anywhere near what they claim.
Very stiff ride on bad roads.
Better positioning of the seat controls - they can at times dig into your right thigh.
2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe Review:
I bought this car from a private party loaded with all the goodies at six months old with 5,600 miles on it.
Overall I love this car which is a daily driver. At 62,000 miles I still have the original front brakes (a record for me), and only replaced the rears for the first time a few thousand miles ago.
I've got the optional 19 inch wheels with Z rated tires - looks great but this car eats tires and they have to be replaced every 20K miles - they can also ride "hard" and loud after 10-12K miles; also can't adjust the front end alignment.
Otherwise NO oddball repair or maintenance costs so far other than oil changes and 30K mile fluid changes / service.
The car came with front spoiler, which lowers the already low front bumper - very easy to scratch up and expensive to fix. I would pass on this as an option.
The seat belt retraction problem doesn't detract from the performance of the car, but is a nuisance considering the number of times one gets in and out of their car. I brought it to the attention of Infiniti within a few months of purchase - they changed it but claimed it was a design flaw and the new one would soon be a problem, which was the case. Hard to believe a seat belt design flaw on a $40K car, also since I had a 1996 Infiniti I-30 that I sold at 13 years old with 170K miles and no seat belt problems.
But seat belt aside, this is a GREAT performance car, I'd recommend to buy used or new!!

2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe Review:
This is the first car I'm having problem getting rid of. I love my G35 and wouldn't trade it for the world, not even for the G37.
