2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
Has 40,000 miles. Havn't had any problems with mine except the spare tire warning light that keeps coming on.. Dealearship could not find any problems with it.. Overall very nice vehicle.

I like the way it drives.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The transmission could be revamped. I have had a valve replaced and it still smells like burning transmission fluid. I also have had trouble with my ignition switch. It has been replaced once, and sometime it will not crank.

I would not buy another one.

Overall I am happy with this Jeep. Only exception is the transmission.

Revise the transmission. There are obvious problems that need addressed.
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
This is my 3rd Jeep. First two I owned were pre-Daimler. I never had an issue with the engine or transmission, only the doors falling off! Will not purchase another unless the transmissions are reliable again.

I have had my 05 jeep for 2 years . Bought it in 07 with 20,000 miles. After 1 year had a problem with ignition switch? Car would not start, and while driving-----IT STOPPED!! DANGEROUS !!In 5 months it is back at the dealership with the same problem. I have had multiple Jeeps and this will be my last one.

Like the spacious interior and the great handling on winter roads.
The 3.7 V6 has impressive "get-up-and go" and still has great fuel mileage.
Instrument panel seems to be well lite for night time driving.
Interior easy to clean when soiled.
Seating seem to be comfortable for all length trips.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Have experienced expensive transmission and transfer case problems with this model and previous Grand Cherokee's I have owned. Need to re-design the power train components to last over 50,000 miles.
Also, the new lower roof design is not very friendly to taller people.
2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Review:
Beside the fact of some poor mechanical qualities, this is over all a great vehicle. I have owned 3 Grand Cherokee's and have like them all. There is plenty of room to carry gear for a day in the wilderness or a trip to the grocery store! I recommend this vehicle to anyone, providing they can deal with the occasional mechanic problems.

Make them more reliable!
Chrysler needs to tell their suppliers to find a balance between cost reduction and parts longevity. These parts don't last at all!

Grand Cherokee still rules the SUV world as the iconic brand. But they'd better start using more reliable parts that lasts more than several months!

I WOULD NEVER OWN ANOTHER JEEP EVER.I HAVE A 2005 G C JEEP and it has been in the shop 8 times. NEW TRANSMITT PUT IN 2 New EnGINE FANS,fule pump mod, and wire repair for anti lock break to name a few problems

Look nice, smooth running engine, rides very comfort.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Gas mileage, cargo space, have arm rest above the console for women drivers. Back side panels have too much blind space.
