Pros: What do you like about 2005 Kia Sorento?
Rides great.
Very reliable.
Very good leg room.
Love the cover that's on the rear of the back seats. Hides all those Christmas presents.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Kia Sorento?
Gas mileage awful.
Speakers too small on dash.
Sometimes it locks by itself....locked me out once, not sure why it does that, taught me not to leave my keys in the car...lol.
2005 Kia Sorento Review:
I bought my Sorento used with 15,000 on it. The only thing I've had to replace now with 40,000 on it was the belts. But they were cracked, so it was time.
Transmission doesn't really shift very smooth, but it only seems to happen when going slower speeds.
The brake lights burn out pretty quick, but really easy to change.
Bought it to haul around the grand-kids, I love the pockets on the back of the drivers front seats, holds all the books, and what-nots.
Theres about 8 Sorentos where I work, and we all love them. I would probably get another one, but I never use the 4 wheel drive, so maybe another smaller Kia!

I like the inside style and comfort.
Haven't had any trans or engine problems.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Kia Sorento?
Better paint quality.
Better service and more dealers.
Acknowledgement from Kia when something is wrong and you write them.
2005 Kia Sorento Review:
2005 Blue paint job is a joke. The paint job is the worst I have ever had on a car. It started peeling on the handles before it was 6 months old. The dealer repainted them and within 6 moths it was peeling again. The overall paint job is terrible.
I bought the car brand new in May 2005. It was in the shop 20 days out of the first 45 trying to fix the passenger air bag sensor. It was in twice for alignment problems. They tried to fix the temperature sensor 2 -3 times it never has worked right.
I like my Kia Sorento but I doubt if I would ever buy another Kia again due to the service (not enough dealers in my area to have convenient repairs or service done). When I first bought it I wrote to Kia they wouldn't even acknowledge the problems I was having - then the dealer I bought it from no longer sells or services Kia.

I love the exterior. It's a very sporty looking SUV.
And the inside is great. Mine is all leather interior, which is great for the kiddos :) and I have lots of room.
I love it.

Gas mileage is appx 23 could be better.
Trans delays into forward gears, has harsh 3/4 shift and 3/1 downshift. Been told its normal, then dealer did recall on vss sensor. No change. 46k and trans fluid is smelling burnt. Serviced at 30k.

This is a sporty SUV....drives great on and off road. I take my Sorento Mudding and offroading all the time and it is just as good as any of my Jeep wrangles i have had.

2005 Kia Sorento Review:
The kia breaks down on average every other month and my latest breakdown the dealer can't figure out what is wrong and will no longer try to fix it. It has a misfire and stalls on me.

take the name plates off and this looks like the Lexus 3 series - nobody can tell the difference and 1/3 the price!! the gas mileage is the pits!!
