Pros: What do you like about 2005 Mercury Montego?
My mercury ran fine until 37,000 miles when the engine died while driving the the car just after the warranty, what is worse is the dealer has no idea of what cause the coil or the the fuse to blow. They said they fixed it and three days later while driving 55 mph on a major highway the car died again and if I had not had presence of mind to put my flashes on I would have been in a major accident the car behinde me just missed me and several cars were squealing and slamming on brakes to avoid me. This is and extremely scary experience. When I spoke to the service department they act like it is no big deal. I have owned the car for two years, bought it brand new and have never missed a service check. I am now afraid to drive my car, at age 60 I bought what I thought would be a safe car to drive. Very dissapointed not only in the car but more in the service, they say they have never seen this before and don't know what to do. This does not make me feel comfortable if they don't know about their own vehicle who does???

the car has plenty of room inside and the trunk is large

better radio and sound. the carpets are rather cheap for a primier model
