Everything, handles well, great gas mileage.
And gets a lot of attention!

The cup holder is not sturdy and in a terrible place. The thing bounces around and causes spills all over the dash and into gear shift.

GREAT CAR. IT MOVES. YOU CAN TAKE A TURN AT 40, HUGS THE ROAD.
I LOVE THE STYLING, EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. ALWAYS GETS LOOKS.
HOLDS A LOT FOR A SMALL CAR.
EVERYONE SHOULD AT LEAST TEST DRIVE!
Cons: How would you improve 2005 MINI Cooper?
GLOVE BOX. IF THE LOCK FAILS, OR KEY WON'T COME OUT, YOU HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE THING AND AT 200. THAT SUCKS AND IT COSTS ANOTHER 200. FOR LABOR.
SLIGHT VIBRATION BUT DEALER SAYS TIRES, SO DON'T CHEAP OUT. ISN'T WORTH TRUST.
ALSO IF U DON'T FULLY PUSH THE BRAKE DOWN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE, CAR WILL CREEP. BUT IT'S NO BIG DEAL YOU'LL FIGURE IT OUT TRUST.

Zippy, great suspension, great cornering, nice looking, fun to shift. Having a manual keeps me more alert and I actually feel like I'm driving instead of just commuting.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 MINI Cooper?
Cruise control is iffy, more speeds in the variable speed wipers, At interstate speeds I can see why newer models have a six. High rpm's (3,400) when you keep in at 70.
2005 MINI Cooper Review:
I bought this car used with 37K on it. There is not a scratch, dent, wear mark or damage anywhere on the car. One cut in the drivers seat side bolster. Probably from getting in and out. Love the orange instrument lights and all the computer readouts. So far 28/29 city and 31/32 Highway. Installed a K & N filter right after I got it. Local BMW dealer has been very helpful so far.

This car is not for everyone. It is a life style car. The club aspect is huge. Easy to modify for better power and handling. Each car is individual. You'll never see one just like yours or your doing something wrong.

Some reliability issues. See the many forums on the internet. Dealer service sucks.

High maintance, It only has 8000miles was in the shop 3 times, a/c line leaking, knock sencer stop working,automatic tranmission wire short-out stuck in gear.

The engine most definately. At 60,000 miles my head gasket blew. I also read that I am not alone here... the coolant system breaks often on these at low miles. Also wish it did not suffer from so many stress fractures on the windshield. Also a common mini issue.
2005 MINI Cooper Review:
As much as it pains me, I have traded it in for an almost as fun Civic Si coupe. I think a friend summed it up best: The mini is a great 2nd or 3rd car, but should not be ones primary vehicle.

It's cute and easy to park and to drive.

first of all, get the dealerships to open on Saturdays or laterin the day for service. Second, put electric seats in, I;m short 4'11" and need to sit on a cushion to see well. thinking of trading due to this, as long rides exhause me.

realign the front seat belts so they don't get caught in the door. They are awkward to pull forward unless you have the door open.
