Pros: What do you like about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
The 3rd row seating.
Great acceleration.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
My gas sensor went out at 55,000 miles. I was told it was not covered by warranty. A lot of people have the same complaint.
The tire pressure sensor was been broken before my warranty expired. I took it in 3 times. They just reset the sensor which eventually came back on. Then I took it in saying I wanted it replaced and was told it was out of the warranty period. I have written and called in the complaints with no response. I was told to take it to a dealership and have it fixed and if there was a recall that I would be reimbursed. What?.....

2005 Nissan Pathfinder Review:
Hoping to pay it off and hope that it lasts. I don't think I would buy another one.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
I don't like any thing about Nissan. I compare them to Toyota.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
My pathfinder had 132,000 miles on it and the transmission is not working right already. I went to the dealer to check it out and was told that the radiator had internal leakage. The transmission oil mixed with the coolant, thus, it got into the transmission. I was told to spend $7000 to have it fixed, replacing the radiator and installing a rebuilt transmission. I don't understand how so many people can have the same problem. Nissan needs to be held accountable. I will never recommend or buy any Nissan vehicles again.

2005 Nissan Pathfinder Review:
Nissan needs to be accountable and that is THE BOTTOM LINE.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
Engine power.
Available third row.
Rugged looks.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
Reliability is very disappointing, replaced engine at 60,000 miles due to the converters, leaking rear cooling line cost $1,000. Gas meter, u joints in the rear went at 86,000 miles, $390 to replace. Very expensive to repair. Nissan could care less, their warranties cover nothing. Nissan went down hill. I'm surprised they are not asking for a bail out, only a matter of time.

2005 Nissan Pathfinder Review:
Nissan has lost its loyal customers by sticking them with unreliable products that cost too much to repair and break down before their normal end time. It's surprising that there are reviews that state these vehicles are solid and reliable, maybe their getting paid by Nissan to say that, a lot of people on web sites are complaining about these issues. Do yourself a favor and buy something other then a Nissan, a gimmic Japanese company.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
Looks nice.
It's powerful.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
Its wiring harness rusted which is located under the frame rails. The truck has never left a paved road and I had extended warranty and I still had to pay for it. Universal joints looked like they had exploded. Interior quality is horrible. Had to replace an IPDM. I was treated horribly by the president Mark Grimm wrote him 2 letters never responded. It has been a horrible experience.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
The rugged look.
Paint job has been fine.
Bose stereo system.
The interior had plenty of room, and is very durable.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
Heating system fan broke at 30,000 miles. Heating system is hard to get the right setting. I had front and rear u joints replaced at 70,000 and 86000 miles Now the dealer is telling me the radiator is leaking into my transmission causing vibrations at 40 miles per hour. By the way the u-joints never fixed the vibrating at 40 miles per hour. The cost to fix my car will be 5500.00. Replace the radiator and transmission. I just paid the car off two weeks ago. I will never buy a Nissan again.

2005 Nissan Pathfinder Review:
The dealer also told me the design of the coolant system for the trans mission should be separate. When the radiator leaks it destroy's the transmission. Poor engineering.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
Power and style.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
U-joints went out at 70,000 miles...not under warranty. Gas tank level sensor went out at 68,000 miles...not under warranty. Now the transmission is shifting funny...73,000 miles...I am sure no warranty on this also. I will never purchase another Nissan again.

2005 Nissan Pathfinder Review:
My pathfinder had 95,000 miles on it and the transmission is not working right already. I went to the dealer to check it out and was told that the radiator had internal leakage. The transmission oil mixed with the coolant, thus, it got into the transmission. I was told to spend $7000 to have it fixed, replacing the radiator and installing a rebuilt transmission. Also I was told by the dealer that this problem had occurred on three 2005 Pathfinders that they had seen so far at this dealership. I called Nissan Motors and was told they can't help me because it's beyond the warranty period. I will never recommend or buy any Nissan vehicles again.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
Nice, rugged, intimidating looks.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Nissan Pathfinder?
Cut down on the plastic interior that seems to scratch easily.
Almost no leg rooms in the second and third row.

2005 Nissan Pathfinder Review:
I like the power this vehicle could deliver when requested.
I would trade the third row seat for more second row legroom.
