Pros: What do you like about 2005 Pontiac G6?
Love the color and style, sporty.
I have the full sun roof that opens all the way up with no problems, cool design.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Pontiac G6?
Inferior interior. Back of driver seat plastic broke at inserts. The lump on the rear seat pulls your head forward. Have to set front seat all the way back and down to get head room.
Noisy, thumps and rattles in front suspension.
Steering a little sluggish (resisting turns)at times.
2005 Pontiac G6 Review:
Nice car but built cheap. They could have put more thought into reliability instead of looks and gadgets. It was my first Pontiac and maybe my last if they don't improve their quality.

Looks nice, clean lines on the outside.
Love the moss color.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Pontiac G6?
Factory sunroof leaks whenever it rains. I took it to the dealership 4 times and they keep telling me that the drains are plugged. Apparently this is a common problem with the g6. Also there is a air noise coming from under the steering wheel which is very very annoying.
My passenger visor light broke.
2005 Pontiac G6 Review:
Will not purchase another GM car. I don't like the way I was treated after the sale was made. Once they got the money I was on my own.

The smooth lines the car has and a couple things about the interior.

THE POWER STEERING! It goes out at random times..... the last time it did it I was merging on the freeway and it scared me to death. And taking it to the mechanics is pointless. They all gave me different answers what it could be or just looked at me like they were confused about what to do.

Looks good, sporty, sleek, extremely roomy.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Pontiac G6?
In and out of shop with much headache and little resolved. First trip was for break lights, loss of cruise control. After pretty much being deemed crazy by the dealer's repair guys, out came the recall. HAHA not my imagination after all. Then that beautiful moon roof...many adjustments to reduce noise, cloth header ceased to roll itself up and wasn't covered by warranty since it was not a mechanical problem! They claimed the glue failed on the roller but, the roller still worked. A a $700 fix-no fix. still have problems with cruise cutting out. But wait...just after warranty wheel bearings went out. Still hold my breath awaiting the next item. ;)
2005 Pontiac G6 Review:
My first new dream car- next time I'll be careful what I wish for. Will not buy another Pontiac! Customer service is awful and the car was not worth the money. Very disappointing.

I have had my G6 for about 4 years now, and it's been none stop head aches with it. Terrible breaks. Steering is a joke, the intermediate shaft seizes on all them, that is the thud you hear when you turn in it but GM has done nothing to correct the problem. Many little things have broken on it, interior dome light 2 times, visor mirror cover 2 times, windshield washer nozzles 2 times, trunk button on drivers door. The most annoying is the "DOOR AJAR." Apparently this is common with this vehicle. The sensor breaks and the computer reads the door is ajar at all times, which will "ding" constantly. Sunroof catches the wind and makes an unbearable noise.
Don't expect any sort of help from their customer service either, they are useless!
2005 Pontiac G6 Review:
I strongly recommend anything but a G6.

Making the front a little higher for exiting lower parking lot and add a lite tint on the windows.

Excellent mileage for a car this size. Fun to drive. Excellent value. Much better value and mileage than the foreign alternatives and left a lot of money in my pocket. Contrary to some reviews I have read, the traction in the winter is excellent. Frankly, I know may would disagree, but I prefer this vehicle to my last two Hondas.

Have had a number of items that had to be corrected under warranty. Decided to purchase an extended warranty, but the price was discounted at local dealership.

I hate the sunroof in my g6. It makes the worse noise and the wind noise you can hear is terrible.

2005 Pontiac G6 Review:
The steering locked up and power cut out on my wife while she was going 50 miles an hour. She was almost hit by a semi and one other vehicle. The dealer said that it can't be the steering because if it was there would only be 2 or 3 error codes. There were 11! Since it wasn't just the 2 or 3 expected and they couldn't get it to do it again, they wanted me to pick the car up. Aren't 11 error codes worse than 2 or 3? I'm not going to drive it, let alone allow my wife to be killed in it. The other 10+ service issues weren't life threatening, but these new 11 error codes are! Pontiac customer service is a joke. Even when you can get them to transfer you out of the Philipine call center.
