Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Good little car, great for city driving and getting in and out of parking lots.
At 65mph we get about 32mpg highway. At 75mph we get about 27mpg. And here in SoCal where the average highway speed is over 80mph it gets about 24mpg.
Love the steering wheel radio control.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Kind of a weak starting vehicle.
Padding in front seats is minimal.
a/c blows weak on hot days.
Factory rims are cheap and soft.
They can bend going over potholes.
Lack of factory dealers.
2005 Suzuki Forenza Review:
Would I do it again, sure. I bought it new as a commuter car and it fit the bill just fine. Paid for itself in gas savings literally. Has most options as standard. We paid $9500 new when most we're paying $12k new so we got a pretty good deal.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Everything works with my car.
It's a great first car.
I love everything about it.
It looks amazing. My paint is perfect.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
6 speed instead of 5.
Get the people at the dealership to actually fix your problems. And cheaper that what they want. Where I'm at, it's 180 dollars a hour just for labor. So I decided that the air bag light is not a problem.
Got a weird bump on the driver side where you feet go.
2005 Suzuki Forenza Review:
The car is simple. I didn't buy the car to be a BMW. It has 130 hp.. not 300. It won't get off the line as fast as a drag car. I have driven the auto and manual and the auto slacks in power, the stick is great.
And I have averaged about 30 city and 37 highway.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
THE A/C WORKS GREAT!
COMFORTABLE RIDE!
DECENT INTERIOR!
LOW MAINTENANCE!
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
*#1 IMPROVE THE GAS MILEAGE...VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE MPG.
*IMPROVE THE MATERIAL SURROUNDING THE CAR (METAL)...HAD A VERY SMALL HAIL STORM AND MY CAR IS THE ONLY ONE IN MY TOWN THAT GOT ALL DINGED UP.
*USE A TIMING CHAIN INSTEAD OF TIMING BELT (DOWNFALL IS LESS MPG THOUGH).
*THE CAR IS LOUD ON ACCELERATION AND HAS A LACK OF HORSEPOWER...SO QUIET THE ENGINE AND POSSIBLY ONE WITH MORE HP AND MORE MPG.
*FIND SOME WAY TO HAVE IT SHAKE LESS WHILE IDLING
*ALSO GET A MORE SOLID LID FOR THE CENTER CONSOLE. THE PAINT IS PEELING AND IT COMES UP ON ITS OWN BECAUSE THE CHEAP CLIP BROKE.
2005 Suzuki Forenza Review:
IT'S OVERALL BEEN A PRETTY DECENT CAR WITH RELATIVELY LOW MAINTENANCE. I HAVE ONLY DONE OIL CHANGES EVERY 3000 MILES, TIMING BELT AND ROTORS. I BOUGHT IT WITH 75K AND IT NOW HAS 81K.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
It's sporty, comfortable and has been pretty reliable. Bought the car in 2006 with 9,000 miles on it. It drives okay.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Something must be done about the mileage. In the winter, I'm getting about 14 MPG locally in NY, 16 in summer. Highway I get about 25 MPG.
Reading the other comments I have some of the same issue as others:
My steering light goes on an off, the passenger side airbag light stays on.
The tires cost way too much.
I've had to change the steering belt 3X since getting the car.
The driver side inside handle broke twice and it cost me $135 to fix the first time. I just haven't fixed it again.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
I love everything about my car. I bought it brand new off the lot, it's a 2005. When I went looking for cars, I compared them all. The Honda, the Toyota, the Ford focus, and the Suzuki had more to it for a cheaper amount of money. My car is 6 years old, and I have taken it on 3 long road trips, to Idaho, and to Colorado twice. No problems at all. and for the driving I do, I have 94,000 miles and I keep it maintained all the time.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
They need to fix the locking mechanism, cuz when that goes out you're stuck in park, unless you know where to press down and make the gear move.

REBUILD IT.
2005 Suzuki Forenza Review:
Do not buy this car! It is a piece of junk a real lemon! After 3 years of owning it, everything went wrong, one thing after another. Replaced the air intake housing unit three times, now it turns off randomly. I'm paying more for this car than it is worth! DO NOT BUY IT!!

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Bought used in 2007 with around 45k miles for around 7600.00 as a lot leader on sale at a car dealership for my daughter. We live an hour away from dealership also and got the timing belt replaced free - took my wife and daughter a day. Other then that it's a used car, needs no major repairs, and gets her to work and college. It is fun to drive. She likes it. And it's almost paid off!
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Cheap used car. It's not a Ferrari - what do you expect?
I wouldn't know if airbags do or do not work. You would think if they didn't, the above poster would have a great law suit????
Trade in value.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
I like the way the 2005 Forenza looks. I've received compliments and many surprised that Suzuki makes cars. Above all, it is VERY dependable.
I bought it used with low miles.
The recall on replacing the timing belt saved a lot of money since I don't have to change it at 60000 miles.
I like the A/C and the sound system and I have the remote power locks and remote starter w/alarm too.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
I've notified Suzuki a few times that there is a lack of marketing for the car and all Suzuki cars. As a recent result Suzuki in my area has suffered with Suzuki dealerships closing. This means there are no shops near me and have to travel about 1+ hour to get to one. Looks to me they are on a suicide mission.
The MPG is disappointing but the car runs very good.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
We purchased a used Forenza wagon with the extras at 55,000 miles for $7250.00 from a Suzuki dealer. We now have 109,000 trouble free miles on the odometer making it one of the best values for the money we have ever owned. It fills the role of basic utility vehicle with gas mileage between 25 to 30 miles per gallon, a nice compact to midsize cabin with tons of room in the back. It handles decent, is smoother on the open road than our former (and last) Toyota Avalon, and our current Chevy Impala SS. It is a good looking car and has no rust in our salt zone area.
Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Upgrade the seats for comfort. Suzuki dumped the Forenza line unfortunately so it cannot be improved upon.
2005 Suzuki Forenza Review:
We have had several compact wagons from various manufacturers and this one is the best value for the money.
