Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
I like the way the 2005 Forenza looks. I've received compliments and many surprised that Suzuki makes cars. Above all, it is VERY dependable.
I bought it used with low miles.
The recall on replacing the timing belt saved a lot of money since I don't have to change it at 60000 miles.
I like the A/C and the sound system and I have the remote power locks and remote starter w/alarm too.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
I've notified Suzuki a few times that there is a lack of marketing for the car and all Suzuki cars. As a recent result Suzuki in my area has suffered with Suzuki dealerships closing. This means there are no shops near me and have to travel about 1+ hour to get to one. Looks to me they are on a suicide mission.
The MPG is disappointing but the car runs very good.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
We purchased a used Forenza wagon with the extras at 55,000 miles for $7250.00 from a Suzuki dealer. We now have 109,000 trouble free miles on the odometer making it one of the best values for the money we have ever owned. It fills the role of basic utility vehicle with gas mileage between 25 to 30 miles per gallon, a nice compact to midsize cabin with tons of room in the back. It handles decent, is smoother on the open road than our former (and last) Toyota Avalon, and our current Chevy Impala SS. It is a good looking car and has no rust in our salt zone area.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Upgrade the seats for comfort. Suzuki dumped the Forenza line unfortunately so it cannot be improved upon.

2005 Suzuki Forenza Review:
We have had several compact wagons from various manufacturers and this one is the best value for the money.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Great gas mileage, love the interior.
I like the steering and the control of the radio.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
I have a problem the engine light stay on and when my gas cap stop working it kept the engine light on. I brought a gas cap late last year and now this year the engine light back on all time. It is hard to find Suzuki dealerships, the nearest one is a hour away from me, there use to be one 10 minutes away. In when My radio went out I had to get the part ordered and they had to do so much. The headlights went out several times and each time I have to pay forty dollar to get it replace. I had the car for 5 years bought it new 3 miles on it at the time. Now 68,000 miles and cracked radiator is the new thing.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Fix the electrical problems!!
Was driving down the freeway at night and lost all my lights, inside and out. Car is washed up at 68,000 miles and I am still paying for it. I am gonna have to take a huge loss on trade in.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Interior is ok.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
I have only 49,500 miles on this car and already the gas cap has broken, the breaks are shot, the shocks and struts need replaced.

The key gets stuck in the ignition now and I can't take the key out!!!

Lights are on all the time (the little light that looks like a a steering wheel ) and another light that looks like the engine?

This car has been taken in for repair so many times it's crazy. I am very disappointed in this car and will NEVER buy a Suzuki again EVER. I am going to buy and american made car!!!! Suzuki is the worst car I have EVER driven and I would never recommend this brand of car to anyone!!!!!!!

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
It "looks" very nice - mine is blue and has everything it could pos. come with, and lots of people say how nice it "looks" but what a pain it has been!

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
DON'T GET THIS CAR! I have had mine for almost 5yrs and I have had 1,000 things go wrong with it!

I got it with only 50 miles on it and so far it had lots of problems. None were covered by my warranty and my trans. is garbage and has to be totally replaced.

It has 70,000 miles on it, my shifter gets stuck in park therefore my key does not come out and my car does not completely shut off so i have to undo the battery every time I leave the car.

My back rim has a crack in it so the tire is always going flat, I have an oil leak, my air bag light is always on, my radio screen doesn't come on but the radio works...

I could really go on and on...

I love the looks of the car and the inside, but the car itself is very poorly made! And I'd like to know why I can't manually add transmission fluid! And I was also told that the car has a BMW trans. in it so it is a lot of $! Parts are very pricey for this car!!

I hope that by the time I fix this car it lasts for a few years but i'm not getting my hopes up... only a few more payments to go and I'll probably sell it and get something else... I feel bad even selling it b/c of all of its problems!! Don't buy this car! Really look around first at other options... I had bad credit so that's how I ended up with it and payments are very high!

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Roomy, comfortable, decent handling, great sound system.
Mine is a wagon, and it hauls like a truck.
Automatic transmission shifts very smoothly after a re-program under warranty.
It's been very reliable.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
I wish there were more dealers. Mine closed and the closest one is an hour away.
Parts are hard to get and expensive. I do my own repair work, so it's not such a big deal . . . but for others it might be a major hassle.
Could use better fuel economy and a little more power.

2005 Suzuki Forenza Review:
I bought the car new and have driven it about 80k miles in five years. I had to take it in under warranty a few times, which was annoying. No major problems since then . . . a thermostat, new clock, and a power steering pump . . . maybe $300 in parts and I did the work myself. Not perfect, but acceptable. Original brakes lasted 75,000 miles. I switched to 60 series tires from the stock 50s . . . much less expensive.

Overall it's been a decent car.

Pros: What do you like about 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Its pros are really cons because the people promoting the car are only pushing it towards people with bad credit. Consequently, when it ends up going back to the dealer for costly repairs, which are never covered by the warranty, the money you thought you were saving by getting financed for a new car is going back into repair costs which won't be covered by the warranty. Then these people are pushed back again paying higher interest rates so the monthly payment is still very high and then you get a car that won't even last until it's paid for, before it has caused you to spend even more on high repair costs.

Cons: How would you improve 2005 Suzuki Forenza?
Add cruise control.
Add more horsepower.
Make it easier on fuel consumption.
Make it more reliable.
Make the rear suspension firmer because my rear tires got cupped and made the car ride bumpy.
Make standard components - like the power steering pump and water pump which both failed in my 2005 Suzuki Forenza within the warranty period but weren't covered by the warranty - make them better quality because they are obviously made of very cheap material and terrible workmanship.

2005 Suzuki Forenza Review:
When my Suzuki Forenza was repossessed, it had about 140,000 miles on it. I was using it for courier work thinking it being a small car with small engine made by a fairly reputable company it would hold up and give great gas mileage. The most mileage I could manage from its 2.0 liter 4 cylinder 123 hp engine was 29 on the highway, which is very poor when compared to other cars in its class. Around the city it would manage around 25 mpg. Not really much economy for a small car. Before I had 100,000 miles on it, the power steering pump developed a problem that caused a noise similar to a valve noise and the pump eventually came apart while I was driving down the highway. It cost almost $700 to have Suzuki fix it and wasn't covered by the warranty. Also before 100,000 miles the water pump went bad and had to be replaced also not covered by the warranty and that repair was around $600. Well the recovery company that took my Suzuki was only able to get about a 3rd of what I owed on it at auction. So now I owe over 10 grand on a car that I don't even have and don't want either.
