Pros: What do you like about 2006 Audi A8?
Performance.
Ride Quality.
Interior.
Comfort.
Audi Factor (Stealth + Great service = not a BMW or Mercedes).
I am going to add small details since other posters covered the big ones:
- Rear heated seats
- Sun shades
- Huge trunk
- Automatic setting for air suspension
- Audio quality even with the base Bose
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Audi A8?
<rant> The cup holders are ridiculously shallow. Why is Audi so bad at cup holders??? Dear Audi: People like to drink tall hot and cold beverages in their cars ... please put at least one engineer on this subject for more than 1 hour. Even the brand new Audis have this issue. </rant>
I would like to see Audi drop the price on adding an iPod AUX to any model that does not have it equipped. No one (fewer all the time to be fair) listens to CDs any more. $500 seems excessive to me to retrofit.
2006 Audi A8 Review:
We have owned 2 A4s (3.0 2005 Quattro and a 3.2L 2007 Quattro) and just made the leap up. I have to say I was worried about the extra size and weight in terms of fun ... but oh baby. This car sings and it is nimble. We tested a bunch of A6s and they felt like a bad compromise (sorry to A6 owners) so we went all the way to the A8. I couldn't be happier so far.

By far my favorite car of all time. I prefer the A8 to a 6 speed manual BMW. I love the styling and especially relish the LED lighting throughout the car.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Audi A8?
I would make the Bluetooth phone compatibility upgradable so as new phones are released they can be fully supported by the fantastic handsfree system.

Power, interior refinements exceed all other comparisons to the MB and BMW.

This auto has it all with every option you could ever want. Can't wait for the Audi SUV...I know this will be over the top as well!
2006 Audi A8 Review:
The fit, finish, and ride are all superb! The V-8 is smooth as silk, and the all-wheel drive handles any road condition 12 months a year. Anyone looking at MB and BMW need to compare with the A8. After doing so, the obvious result wil be the Audi. This is my opinion from a past MB and BMW owner.

Traded 2004 A8L on 2006 and really like the new features added. New front end look is great. Car is solid, quiet and fun to drive. Mileage is great for a big car.

Computer interface (MMI), the quality of the interior, the sleek design (I had the 19" wheels) and the room and comfort for all passengers. Oh, and the Bose sound system is phenomenal.

2006 Audi A8 Review:
Having had enough of my Merc S55 which I was trading in a part at a time, I took a gamble on the Audi. The minute I sat in it I knew it was a classy car. I have done 15000 miles and aside from a few minor gripes (replaced power lift on trunk) it has performed wonderfully. Powerful, quiet and somewhat exclusive - you don't see many on the road. If you are in the 7- series, S-Class market, this will beat them hands down for the money. The relatively easy to use MMI is pretty intuitive and doesn't take long before you can navigate around all the features you need to with ease. The thing that amazes me the most is the roominess of the car. The rear is HUGE and appears bigger than my S class.

I wish there was a way to skip the liability waiver for the MMI system that comes up every time you start the car.

I just took delivery of a 2006 Audi A8 in quartz grey with a black interior with the standard wheel base. The car is amazing and I drove the length of Vermont yesterday. It performed beautifully on the highways and back roads and I am so glad that I chose this car.
