Pros: What do you like about 2006 Buick Rendezvous?
I like the room and utility of the interior for a 5 person family.
It has been very reliable with minor issues to deal with. I bought it 3 yr used for $13k from a dealer and it should have been inspected better.
Gas mileage is consistently around 22-24 combined.
Good visibility.
Sure footed.
Nice stereo.
Not a slouch for getting up to speed when needed. It is a CXL FWD version. We easily put 20k miles on it each year.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Rendezvous?
The used Rendezvous had the right rear caliper not aligned on the disc causing premature wear and early replace, although new parts were cheap and it was an easy job.
Also had to replace the right tie rod and left hub assy, otherwise just changing oil and tranny fluids.
Back end is a little ugly in some ways but overall a good looking vehicle. Have not had any tranny problems.

Overall a great bargain used when using informed buying practices. Good power, space and reliability. Confident, smooth and quiet ride.
I would recommend this vehicle to family and friends and will drive mine until it "dies".

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Buick Rendezvous?
Comfortable ride. I drove it from Montana to New York City and back and it was a great road trip. I was moving my daughter back to MT, with a jam-packed vehicle, and it never missed a beat.
We get quite a few comments on what a "good looking" car it is?!
Good sound system.
We just came out of a L O N G Montana winter and this car was great in the snow, even though the tires were getting old and worn out. Recently replaced the all-wheel tires for $650 and it's riding smoother than ever.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Rendezvous?
Gas mileage is mediocre: 12-17 in town, and 22 at best on the highway.
We've had ongoing problems with the "climate control" system. It's consistently a lot hotter on the drivers side, and we're always making adjustments to equal it out. Sometimes it will just start blowing ice-cold air, for no apparent reason?! We like the car enough to persevere with it, and our local dealership is working with us on the air issue, since it began well within the warranty period.
It is noisier than you'd expect, from a "luxury" car, on the highway. (Sometimes we just crank up the tunes and drown it out!)

Have the CXL package.
Love the leather seats, roomy compartments for sunglasses, wallet, etc.
Lots of comfy space for my child and 3rd row seat option is nice when visiting my parents.
From the front it looks very sharp with the Buick logo and grill against the black exterior.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Rendezvous?
Randomly it has issues starting. Same as another poster, it sputters about 3-4 times as though it won't start and then magically is does. It's been to the dealership twice and it never does it for them. Mine is also under warranty and I'm afraid I may end of paying for it once the issue is finally figured out.
I also feel the exterior rear view looks too minivan-esque.
2006 Buick Rendezvous Review:
Overall, I love this car.
I've had various Jeep vehicles and almost bought another, but the roominess of this vehicle won me over. It's comfortable to drive and ride in.
My main complaints are the starting issue and I wish it didn't look so much like a minivan from the rear view.
I LOVE the grill in front though and I do like the gas mileage.

Higher quality standards, IE: Hinges on the glove box, instead of a folded plastic sheet for a hinge, Metal connections on the door mechanisms, as my driver-side door busted off inside, and instead of being screwed to the door panel, it is riveted, making repair virtually impossible for me with the tools I own...

This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned, and would recommend everyone steer clear of it!!! I have a serious growling noise coming from the rear end, and only have 70,000 miles on it, and it is going to be a costly repair that I cannot afford!!!!

I like the general feel and comfort of the car.
It is good for hauling the kids around.

I have had some interior electrical problems and the car goes through tires, brakes and rotors very fast with casual driving. (not Aggressive).
Changing the plugs in the back very difficult.
Fuel mileage low at best.

Mine has all the bells and whistles and is a very nice SUV. Love the warning bells when backing up, the heated seats, lots of room, decent gas mileage.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Rendezvous?
The starting problem. When starting the car, it keeps cranking and won't turn over so I have to shut it off. I have to do this sometimes three or four times before it will start. One dealership called it an extended crank and cleaned something under the hood but that didn't help. Another dealership replaced the ignition and that didn't help either. Has anyone found a solution to the starting problem?

My husband and I really liked the look of the vehicle and that it had a lot of room inside.
Love the color.
Pretty good gas mileage.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Rendezvous?
I am very disappoint in the fact we have had problems with the vehicle starting, like some of the other comments made it will take 3 to 4 times to start or it will not start was under warranty and they put a new battery in still had problem.
Also have the rmp problems also for no reason. The battery light and rpm goes up when we run the air conditioner.
I feel that Buick themselves should be doing a recall on this car and giving people another one for the price you have to pay. We live on a budget do not have the extra money to fix something they should have been done right in the first place. Seems to me that Buick took short cuts on the electrical on this vehicle and we the consumer is paying for it and that is not good business in my opinion.

We would not buy another one of these vehicles again. Very disappointed in Buick for selling a unreliable vehicle and making the consumer pay for it.

I have the cxl - love the leather 3rd row, the ride, looks, everything about it.
It rides awesome and is quiet.
Love the storage.

Excellent gas mileage, very spacious, and comfortable.

Reduce the size of exterior mirrors, they are huge.
Fix the starting issue.

Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase, but also having same problem when starting...sputters. Have to try a couple of times before it actually starts. Please advise if issue has been discovered and what the root cause was and what was done to properly fix it.

It's AWD and I never got stuck in snow.
The extra room in the back eliminates the need to buy a truck.

The horrible gas mileage! I had it in the dealership around the 17k mile mark for the horrible gas mileage and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I also had it in for growling noises when turning and the dealership changed the VersaTrack fluid and it was supposed to fix the problem, but never did. They tried to con me into a $70 power steering fluid flush. I did it myself and it still didn't fix the problem. They finally told me there was nothing more they can do to fix it! By the way, the dealership is now out of business. Apparently, no one wanted to buy a Buick!
2006 Buick Rendezvous Review:
I plan to replace it soon with a new 2011 Equinox AWD 4 cylinder. That gets better gas mileage and I lose a little extra space in the rear. If you need AWD to navigate through snow, this is a good option, but you will pay dearly at the pump.
