Pros: What do you like about 2006 Buick Terraza?
My kids love the wireless headsets that they can watch the DVD player.
This van came fully loaded and we expected a lot from it as we paid a lot for it.
Very roomy. It is a nice car but a lot of problems with the slider doors and electrical problems.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Terraza?
The headrest are too high, so it makes it difficult to see out the back when you are trying to back up.
There are way too many cup holders and only 1 plug outlet???? How can you charge your phone and plug in your GPS??? But you can have 10 drinks in holders??? Doesn't make sense?
2006 Buick Terraza Review:
We have owned this van for 4 yrs and are now experiencing electrical problems. We have had it in the dealership 3 times and they can't get the problem fixed correctly. Very frustrating. The car won't start. 1st they said it was the battery (however the slider doors won't open, but the windows worked??) they replaced the battery. 3 weeks later the same thing happened, the car won't turnover, we have to get it towed to the dealer, they tell us that the DVD player was draining the car and was bad so the pulled it out and the car started. They ordered a new on and it was covered under the extended warranty. We pick it up on a Wednesday and 3 days later on Saturday the car doesn't start again. Now we have to get it towed again and we are awaiting to find out what the problem is? I would not recommend this van to anyone. As soon as we get it back we are trading it for another van or suv. Not a BUICK I do not like their service dept. They don't seem to try to please their customers.

I enjoy the comfort driving my Terraza being that I am tall women.
It drives very good on road trips.
Lots of room for the family.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Terraza?
Buick Terraza was only built a few years and the parts are very expensive to me.
Abs hub sensor went out replace it. Problem was not fixed, and the abs control module had to be replaced in order for my abs light to go out. Each part over 300.00, not to mention labor.
At 50,000 miles, rubber part squencing sound coming from rear end. Dealer said rear end going out. Old shad mechanic said, no, only some rubber part in a bind but noise would be annoying just keep on driving it till you get tired of the noise. It would take more time to fix than the actual problem.

Power sliding doors often don't work.
Keyless entry won't work.
Tires wear fast (cupping).
Sometimes hard to start if the engine is still hot.
2006 Buick Terraza Review:
Not a bad car, but the power sliding doors often won't close, keyfob rarely works which is a problem because there is no key lock on the passenger door.

Good power, enough to tow a boat no problem.
Good torque in 1st gear.
Comfortable, and roomy.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Terraza?
Electrical problems make for an unreliable ignition. It will often click and you have to turn it several times to start. Had it serviced and the technician said it was likely a poor positive terminal connection on the battery, but this didn't solve the prob.
2006 Buick Terraza Review:
Heavy on gas, ignition issues. Too bad that these issues detract from what would otherwise be a nice van. I cannot recommend this vehicle due to these issues.

I was looking for a mini van with an entertainment system and interior room for family an visiting guests. The Terraza looked great inside and out, but I knew there was a reason why I stopped buying American cars. I thought I would give Buick a try.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Buick Terraza?
Right out of the dealership I started having trouble with the DVD player; unsupported disk error and the DVD freezes up and doesn't play. Took it to the dealer 3 times and tomorrow will be the fourth time. They always say the DVD player works well for them. This time I recorded it on a camcorder.
The transmission also slips, but not at the dealer mechanic, they also say there is nothing wrong with it. Tomorrow I will take the car back to the dealer for a refund. I have had the car for ten days and it's been in the shop three times already.

I regret purchasing the Buick Terraza and would warn others on doing so, I have completely given up on purchasing American autos after this.

Seems to have an occasional problem starting, or will run for a short time and shut off.
2006 Buick Terraza Review:
Bought our van in Feb 09, now has over 100,000 miles, previous owner said that there were never any problems. I only replaced the front bearings (simple fix, anyone can do it). Everything else seems to be working great except for the starting issue. Overall the vehicle is far better than our Lemon cirrus.

We bought the van used and have had nothing but trouble with the tires/ brakes since we got it.
I don't know if it's because the van is so heavy or what, but the tires wear very quickly even with rotations after every other oil change.
Also, we've had to replace the rotors once and the brake pads twice. The back seat gives a great massage if you drive on the highway which may be caused by the wear on the tires. Dealers swear it is not out of alignment.
2006 Buick Terraza Review:
Other than worrying whether we will be able to stop the van quickly if need be, this is a pretty good vehicle. We're just about to hit 50,000 miles and little problems are starting to surface but that's pretty normal I guess. The family likes all the room and the kids love the headphones for the DVD player.

2006 Buick Terraza Review:
have only 60,000 miles on it and had abs hub system replaced twice. front axle broke. alignment issues from the beginning. awd has been disabled for a month and needs a new valve. power side door only works part of the time. a/c works but car is so roomy it doesn't cool properly during high heat days. had 1 year with no problems and then about every other month it's in the garage.
