Pros: What do you like about 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche?
The split the back does is one of them, but my very favorite is the integrated coolers in the bed. All my friends get excited when I open those up.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche?
May put those little round mirrors as stock for backing up. Truck seems so thick in the rearend that it is hard to back up and park. How about an automatic sliding rear window that hides itself behind the back seats! Automatic tailgate opener.
2006 Chevrolet Avalanche Review:
I knew the second I started the engine and pulled away from the dealership that this was the truck for me. It is so stylish and eyecatching. Big, beautiful and red. It is so quiet and comfortable I can not say enough nice things about it, only one negative, it seems so wide and hard to parrellel park. I can not wait to take it out on a long haul with my horses attached and finally feel some comfort with style.

2006 Chevrolet Avalanche Review:
This truck exceeds all my and my wife's expectations. My wife took the truck on vacation to Key West and back and she got over 18.5 mpg!

2006 Chevrolet Avalanche Review:
Mine is a 2002 with 75210 miles on it. I have owned it since new and love this truck just as much as the day I bought it. I have taken several extended trips in it and will not buy anything other than an Avalanche for as long as Chevrolet makes them.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche?
Ride is very comfortable
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche?
Put something on dash to show when the tail gate is not up. Maybe a light like the cargo light on dash. Have had tools fall out

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche?
Mid-gate, removeable rear window and hard locking tonneau cover. OnStar is fun but kind of expensive at $17/month PLUS minutes.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche?
Standard equipment with the Z71 off road package should include an off-road type tire like a BF Goodrich AT instead of the Goodyear RTS.
2006 Chevrolet Avalanche Review:
Versitile, rides like a large car, but still able to handle non paved roads with relative ease. Good power with the 5.3L v8. Hwy mileage is closer to 19.5mpg on level roads at 65-70mph. Easy to convert to pickup with the midgate. Love this truck.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche?
Versatility. Ability to have 4 passengers, very comfortably, or use as a pickup truck to carry a 4x8 piece of sheetrock!
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche?
Automatic window in the midgate with push button on the dash, as opposed to the manual remove and replace. Also the ability to lock the glove compartment, or center console like you could in the 2002 would be nice to have back again.
2006 Chevrolet Avalanche Review:
This is my second Avalanche I have owned. I will NEVER own another truck except the Av. Very Stylish, Eye catching, versatile. Used for camping, tailgating, towing, moving large items, and much more. My original was a 2002 which I thought was great, and the 2006 is even better. I totalled my 2002 in an accident which I hit in, and realized in any car and many trucks, I would not have made it out alive. VERY SAFE!!! Fuel economy is not bad for the size of the truck, but it should be expected with its size and capacity.
