Nice looking truck.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?
I agree with all the cons. I had a 460 Ford engine that got better gas.
No key entry on passenger side.
Seat are no good.
No console.
Had to replace transfer case at 50.000.
No cd player.
Poor bat terminals.
Brakes squeak all the time.

Go back to the V6.
Terrible gas mileage for 5 cyl.
Gas tank too small.
2006 Chevrolet Colorado Review:
Can't tow without using super gas. Tranny shifts up and down too much. REPLACED HEATER CORE AT 48,000, noisy truck interior. Would never purchase another one.

Looks good.
Goes great in the snow.

Problem with the door locks, locks do not work with the door lock button, the remote on like it did before when putting the transmission in gear or park. Also when the door locks stopped working the driver side window stop working as well. Only 18000 miles. Need to improve gas mileage also.

Convenient over-all dimensions.
Practical little truck.

Extremely poor fuel economy! I get around 5 to 8 mpg at this time and this truck only has 28k. miles on it (2006 model)! The fuel tank is much too small.
Seats are too low.
Put back the 4.2 in-line six!
Smoothen the electronic auto tranny shifting in 4X4!

It pulls well behind the motorhome. This truck, although a bit 'smallish', has good utilitarian value. My old Z-71 Silverado 4X4 was a much better fuel user! It's a pretty truck...

Back seat head rest is very blinding when you're backing.
2006 Chevrolet Colorado Review:
I have a 2006 crew cab.
While inside my truck, my doors locked and I couldn't get out - even the driver window would not open. Had to come home, give the keys to someone to key open my door and let me out.
Also air condition works on 4 and just sometime on other temp. Door locks only works sometime I think I have a major electrical problem.
My truck only has 30,000 miles.

Problems - Passlock lights comes on and truck won't start for 10 minutes, $800 to fix.
2006 Chevrolet Colorado Review:
Problem with Passlock security light. Truck thinks it is being stolen and it isn't. The Passlock light comes (sometimes it doesn't) and the truck will not start for 10-15 minutes (most of the time). Cost to get checked is $99, repairs in upwards of $700. Should not have to do these types of repairs with 37,000 miles. Auto dealer not very helpful.

Easy driving.

Wheel squeaks on left turn.
CD Player/Stereo lights went out, twice.
A/C Fan only blows on 4 and has already been replaced, it's doing it again.
