Great gas mileage and a huge trunk.
It's a very comfortable car and I have 226000 on it.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
3rd alternator, second battery and some steering components.
Brakes I do myself as rear brakes wear quickly.

I would buy another, however I'm ready for something different, Maybe an Avalon.

Roomy.
Lots of zip.
Heat is great.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
The mud flaps are rigid so they break. Two sets in one winter.
The replacement parts are unbelievably expensive...
Spending $3300 for brakes, front end and new tires. Have to sell a kidney for this bill.

My 500 is awd. I took a drive to West Virginia for a funeral. Was snowing there all week. Car went through everything. Was only vehicle besides funeral directors 4x4 to make it up hill.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
Car is on the noisy side.
Could have a bit more top end speed.

Mine is a 2005, bought new in 2006.
So much room inside and the trunk holds so much.

Insulate the car from the road/tire noise.
2006 Ford Five Hundred Review:
LOVE ALL OF IT, except wheel/road noise is unbearable. Can't talk to anyone because of the tire noise, second set of tire and no difference, have 106,000 miles and now the trans is gone. Bummer.

Great amount of trunk space - enough for large stroller, safety bag, groceries, warehouse store shopping, all at the same time.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
I was told it wasn't starting correctly due to having the wrong size battery. This was the factory battery, but I wasn't at dealership. I figured it was way cheaper than the starter (and warranty expired, which I recommend on all cars). So I had them change the battery, to what they recommended, which was about $100. Starts great every time now.
2006 Ford Five Hundred Review:
Love the space, perfect for a family road trip, not a gas guzzler.
Wouldn't change anything but the battery, and maybe the name back to 500.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Ford Five Hundred?
I bought the car new in Dec 2005. That was my Christmas present to myself. I have loved driving the car. It is easy to drive, lots of pep, and I am comparing it to my old mustang. Not as fast, but not to bad. Looks great, sheer pleasure to own. Have 83000 miles and now have to buy tires and need brakes in front. Not to bad.

Can't think of a thing, just change the name back to Five Hundred.

Get better rear brake pads. 2 sets in 35465 miles. Front still good.

Do something with the tires. They are cheap and have all kinds of noise. Have had nothing but trouble with them so far.
