Pros: What do you like about 2006 Ford Fusion?
Excellent mileage - 35 highway, 30 around town with the 2.3 liter. Drives very well at highway speeds, average speed 65 to 70.
Love the exterior body style. Car looks somewhat aggressive.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Fusion?
Not happy at all having to replace the Throttle Body with only 58,000 miles on the car. I'm only working part time and it hurts having to put $550.00 in the car. Might buy a Toyota next time.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Ford Fusion?
My SEL V6 has all the toys. I've had this car for 5 years and it still looks great and runs like a champ. Now it has 105k miles and all the bells and whistles still work.
I've had no repair work or odd sensors going off. No mechanical defects or warranty work. This car continues to perform just as it did the day I bought it.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Fusion?
Seems like the brake rotors have been replaced at least twice - when you apply the brakes, the whole car would shake. New rotors, no problem. I've not had a similar rotor issue with any of the other cars I have owned. Thankfully, the rotor replacement was not expensive.
The MPG with the V6 are not great, I'm averaging about 22 or 23 MPG with a mix of highway and in-town driving. The power of the V6 makes the car fun to drive.
2006 Ford Fusion Review:
This is still a great car. I have two little kids and there is room for their seats and gear. The trunk is large and the overall functionality is great.

Peppy, responsive, most of the interior I like.
Think I still got a good buy. Even with all of the problems listed below.
Uses no oil between changes.
Average 32.1 to 34.1 mpg.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Fusion?
At 67k had to replace both front wheel bearings. Speedometer very difficult to read when sun and glare are in certain positions. No trouble at night, dashlights make speedometer easy to see.
Rear view vision difficult when backing up. Side windows have ware streaks making visibility questionable at times.
Knee keeps opening trunk lid while getting in and out of drivers side. Also sometimes turning on lights.
Had to have Ford shop remove oil pan plug. Was told this was a common problem.
Drivers sun visor has to be forceably popped on the right side to keep fastened in place.

2006 Ford Fusion Review:
This vehicle is a very comfortable and reliable car as it loaded - SEL V6...however weird things such as a seat heater is in need of replacement...it's cold on leather in the winter so this needs to be addressed. Other than this...a very nice car to drive and own.

The only dislike I have is the 17 inch tires, they don't last.
2006 Ford Fusion Review:
We bought are SEL Fusion NEW IN April 2006.
My wife and I are both over 6 ft tall and have plenty of leg room. We now have 100,560 miles of trouble free driving and have been very happy with it.

Had to have both pass side windows repaired. Terrible, should be recalled. Headlights fogging up.

I like the overall appearance with the 06 Fusion. But beauty is only skin deep.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Fusion?
I have had all the door handles replaced at least once (I am getting all facts and figures together as we speak to dispute a problem with that), the back windshield has shattered on me just for closing the trunk, the keys got stuck in the ignition, the battery melted the cables, the low profile tires are unnecessary for this car (too expensive and don't last), and all 4 rims are now bent slightly on one spot for unknown reason.
2006 Ford Fusion Review:
I like the way the car handles. Our daughter picked out this car. I personally would not have picked out this car for myself although now I am driving it. I don't like the black exterior on black leather interior. In Texas that is not practical. But that is not the car's fault I just would not have picked it. I like the stereo, I am a little concerned though after doing this research about my airbags. I hope that I don't have any collisions anytime soon.

The best thing in the car would have to be the 6 mixer in the dash board and the suspension.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Fusion?
Blow it up. Improvement on the Ford Fusion would cost a lot of money and I don't think that consumers would be willing to pay for the extra things to make it better.
They also need to adjust the toe and camber on the a arms so that it doesn't tilt as much when you're turning into those hard corners.

The car itself is a piece of junk and I will never purchase another ford again. I think that I will stick to my weekend car my Corvette.
