Well, I have had a 1986 1989 1994 and a 2006. Need I say more.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Taurus?
The paint on my 2006 is chipping off the body.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Ford Taurus?
Performance, comfort, ride, safety and reliability.
Not a sports car but has adequate power and passing strength and good gas mileage for car of this size, weight and comfort.
Our other car is a 2008 Camry and in comparison, where the Camry is superior in gas mileage and power the price difference leans toward the Taurus. My wife and I agree the Taurus has the better ride on long trips and is cheaper to maintain.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Taurus?
Hardly ever starts on first attempt but have owned several Fords that have done the same, so not really a problem.
Don't like the constantly re-setting mileage, temperature and compass gauge but I guess this is a requirement to maintain accurate numbers. No major complaints..

2006 Ford Taurus Review:
Nice easy car to maintain, averages about 23 mpg combined. Bought it at 106,2xx for $5,500 (117,550 10 months later) and had it for 10 months and had to do a tune up (because the previous owner had all factory material on it still) $150 for me to do (wires, plugs, coil) and replace the power steering pump because it was leaking (I've hears this happens on a lot of Tauruses and Sables) and had to replace to brake shoes and pads as normal maintenance to the car. But overall I expect to run this car over 200,000 miles like I did with my 96 Ford Taurus that had 218,xxx before we sold it.

I own a 06 Taurus and I luv it!!!!!!! It has speed, power, and overall I feel safe. Belive it or not don't be fooled that it passes as a "Grandma car".
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Ford Taurus?
I just wish that the radio console didn't take up a lot of room, meaning if I want a non-factory radio, I have to pull the whole center console out.

My car has saved my life twice in two months. It took a head on impact at 50 mph and I still drove it away with only a bent up front end and I was perfectly fine. The very next month it took being sandwiched at 60 mph like a champ. I did have it repaired that time. The front end was crumpled just a little on the hood, and the bumper had a little dent. I still drive it today and I drive it 180 miles a day and have put over 90,000 miles on it so far. I'm going to drive this car until it can't go anymore!!! I love it!!!

The only way that I would improve it is to make it so that you can install a non-factory radio in the dash.
2006 Ford Taurus Review:
This is the best car hands down for the money. The trunk is HUGE!!! The spare tire & jack is easy to get to and is still concealed under the trunk space with a carpet covering. The interior is beautiful and easy to maintain. Love it!!!

give it a softer ride when going over bumps. Could be smoother.
