Pros: What do you like about 2006 Honda CR-V?
I don't like it.This Honda CRV is my very first brand new car. As you read the next section, you will understand the features which I find both dangerous and annoying.
This CRV met what I needed in a vehicle, and it seemed the perfect choice. Please continue to read the next section.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Honda CR-V?
This CRV stirring is so sensitive to the slightest adjustment that one can immediately feel the sense that the vehicle could overcompensate for the average non-thinking driver which I am not. Wheather, vs. speed, vs. wheelbase versus height versus tight and true and it feels squirrely. Too noisy inside. I even bought big dog beds to lower the external road noise and it did not help. The other extremely dangerous design is the sun visor on driver side. My hand slipped off while moving it back to the original position. With that, the visor swings on an angle and it stopped directly in my vision of the road which was most unexpected and again I am having to reach up and deal with a visor that should be designed to move safely back and forth without blocking my vision while driving.
The 5 speed manual transmission has no indicator to let me know what gear I am in. Getting used to the shifting has been frustrating. When I thought I had down shifted to second I found that I was in fourth and nearly being rearended by an over anxious driver. The clock, radio stations, AC light are so faint and with glare, I cannot read them while driving and at night the panel is just not bright enough at the maximum position. I had the dealer take out the cup holder, because it was useless.I put in my own design of a box with my old tride and true cup holder from my old car

I was so excited to get this vehicle, but I have to say, that I don't feel safe in it. I am a A++ driver with my insurance company of over 35 years.

The looks and the smooth ride, plenty of power for hills and passing. Storage compartments. Seat comfort. Radio and Cd. AC and heating system. Great gas milage. The ride has a solid feel. Quite ride. great in snow. love the safety features.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Honda CR-V?
Only one thing, better visability out rear window, maybe a rear camera like some cars have. Not a big problem the mirrors give good coverage.
2006 Honda CR-V Review:
Wife and I have owned the 2006 CRV since April of 06. We love everything about it, just the way it is. We have had no trouble at all with anything. When we kept our speed between 65 and 70 MPH we got 35 miles per gallon. We were on a winding road going across Nevada at the time.

Ride is abomnible! Handling verges on the unsafe with drift and steering instability. Tires are the pits.
2006 Honda CR-V Review:
Have spent 12000 miles trying to get some help with undesirable handling, noise and ride. Dealer helpful but nothing seems to fix the problems. This will be my last Honda!
