Pros: What do you like about 2006 Hyundai Sonata?
I like the MP3 player. It is simple, but plays every format I've tried. Gas mileage is good on highway trips. It is roomy and rides fairly well.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Hyundai Sonata?
Hyundai needs to let up on the warning bells when the seatbelt is not secured. As soon as you start the car, if your seatbelt isn't in you hear a VERY LOUD and VERY ANNOYING ringing/beeping sound. If you park your car and take your seat belt off before you shut the engine off you get another dose of this most ANNOYING sound. I bought this car in January and it now belongs to my wife. Just picked up a 2006 Civic. Gave up a little bit of room, but gained fuel economy and got rid of that ANNOYING seat belt warning.
Also, a month after I got the car, the windshield began to work lose and makes a rickety kind of noise. Sounds like rubber and glass rubbing together. It took a few attempts to convice the dealership that there was a problem. But they found it in at least one other Sonota. Almost everyone that rode in my car asked about the noisy windshield. You know what they say. "Isn't that a shame that a new car would have that kind of a problem..."

Make the seats more comfortable with more adjustments. Audio controls on sterring wheel should change channels not just the mode.

Love it for the price. Looking to buy my wife another car and can't justify spending the same money on a civic or corolla. We will now have 2 Sonatas in the garage.

My 06 sonata battery discharges after sitting a few days, what going on here. this has happened at least twice. is there a design problem in the electical system???

The warning chimes are too loud and annoying. Put in heavier glass to reduce exterior noise.

A few problems in the first month (I had to have the auto trans replaced less than a month after it was bought)but none since.

The vehicle came with All the features I could Need or Want, and then some. It drives smoothly and feels like a Luxury car.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Hyundai Sonata?
I really can't think of what needs improvement.

It's a Great vehicle and I would recommend it for anyone. Its very Roomy inside and drives sensational. We are happy we went with this vehicle, after trying many others.

Great value. Many std. features. Great ride and performance. Reliability. And, not having to deal with the Toyota folks.

Better gas mileage. If they don't get their act together there, they will lose market share.

Better stereo, longer seat bottoms, better build quality.
2006 Hyundai Sonata Review:
I love my Sonata. I own a 2006. However some quality issues have arisen. The car rattles worse than my 93 t-bird did after 80,000 miles. It has also been in the shop for two weeks waiting on a sensor. They inform me the wait could be another 2 weeks. So I may have to be without my car for up to a month.
