I brought this vehicle brand new. It is the first SUV I have ever owned. I was going to KIA to look at the Sportage but drove the Sorento and loved its style and feel. It has great pick-up on the highway.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Kia Sorento?
The gas mileage is bad and my side step rattles. I took it back to the dealer and they tighten it once but after a little while it started again but, I would say the worst thing about my KIA is that I have changed my tail lights, head lights and fog lights so many times that it is ridiculous. It has become a running joke on how long it will take for one of my lights to blow. I've even gone to not letting them run all day like I use to do with my other cars and I still find my self getting them replaced every few months.

I love the looks of the my 06 Kia Sorento, get lots of compliments.
Gas mileage is not to bad.
Comfy seats.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Kia Sorento?
I now have over 50,000 miles and I bought it when it had a little over 20,000. It seems to have maybe an electrical problem....have a little issue with the wipers and maybe two or three times when going up hill I have lost power (like it couldn't go to the next gear) but when I stopped it came out it and runs like a charm. Brought to the dealer they said nothing is wrong..of course since it wasn't doing it at the time. Oh and I have also had to replace a few more tail light bulbs then normal...
2006 Kia Sorento Review:
Overall I love my Kia, great suv, plenty of room. Has a lot of power, especially going up hills it really kicks down. If it wasn't for the electrical issues I would give it a perfect score.

2006 Kia Sorento Review:
My Kia Sorento is probably the best car I ever owned. It is powerfull, the engine is almost noisless, controls are very overseeable, comfortable seating, drives very smooth particular on highway. The car gives me a feel of securety. Has plenty of storage space, excellent sound system. It is difficult for me to say anything bad about my Sorento LX 2006. I have owned a Opel 1700, Ford Taunus 20M (European), Ford Mustang 1967,8 cil, Ford Torino Stationwagen, Nissan Pulsar, Ford Maverick, Chevrolet Blazer, Pontiac 6000, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Ford Escort, Ford Taurus 1999. The best car of above mentioned ones was the Ford Taunus 20M and the new Kia Sorento 2006 which outperformed them all.

Bought my Sorento with 20K miles. It's 4 x 4 which I have used ONCE. Trucks are my 'thing' and due to circumstances, ended up with this SUV. (Truck lover now drives SUV) My friends think that's 'funny'. 8 months later this SUV has won me over! Great fast take-off's, turning radius is incredible, looks great, and so many little luxury touches! Will be installing 'remote start' I had on my other trucks, and a hitch. I will keep him!

MILEAGE, MILEAGE, MILEAGE... HE SURE LOVES THAT GAS. As bad as when I had my F150, Silverado and Rangers..... Awful!
2006 Kia Sorento Review:
Nice interior, outside too! It's just a comfortable vehicle. I keep back seats down and placed a truck bed mat I had from my trucks so my 4 large dogs don't mess up too bad and they have plenty of room to lay in, stick heads out windows, enough room to bring home a 6ft. long t.v. stand.... Can't transport my mower but other than that, it's got plenty of room for just about anything!!!

I would appreciate the seats be electronic, the doors to automatically lock when you put it into drive and the interior to be a little nicer grade.
