Pros: What do you like about 2006 Kia Sportage?
I like everything about this SUV. It handles well, it's roomy, it's comfortable, any mechanic, including myself can work on it, you don't have to take it to a dealer or foreign car specialist, and anyone who tells you that is full of it!
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Kia Sportage?
I like it fine just the way it is.

I like the look and the way it handles for an SUV.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Kia Sportage?
Do not like the fact that not just anyone can work on a KIA. Acts up occasionally like it's out of gas but a problem can't be found.
There is no way of changing lights or fuses without a owners manual.
The cruise very seldom works at all.
The plastic/vinyl interior scratches and mars very easily.
Would not buy another one at all!

Will need more options for driver like;
Outside temperature reading.
Compass to show the direction.
A digital fuel evaluation versus kilometer remaining on the fuel.

Headlight bulbs have burnt out 6 in 3 yrs.
2006 Kia Sportage Review:
I have 106422 ks and so far no problems, keeping my fingers crossed.
I like my 2006 better then the 09's or 10's - they don't have the same quality interior.

The Kumho tires I have to change 2 times in just the first 9000 miles. Coming from factory, defectives - no good tires.

2006 Kia Sportage Review:
I traded in my Civic for this car about a month ago and I absolutely love it! I never thought that I would ever buy a Kia of any sort but started reading reviews for compact suvs and the Sportage was highly rated, so I gave it a shot and didn't even drive anything else. The car has a lot of power, but as with any 6 cylinder engine you loose some gas mileage.

Very roomy. I have a 7 year old who is almost 5 ft tall with a mens size 7 shoe and a 13 year old who is 5'8 with a size 13 shoe.

4 cylinder needs more get up and go.
