Pros: What do you like about 2006 Lincoln Navigator?
This is actually an upgrade for me. (from Mountaineer to Navigator)
Love the size. Love the feel. I wasn't too surprised that I found a lot of the same features from the Mountaineer in the Navigator (both are Lincolns).
Love the look. Can't get over that.
Rides very smooth. Very comfortable.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Lincoln Navigator?
Little things. Front head lights have that newish look, back lights have the oldish look.
MPG is pretty below average, but I do expect that because it's a large vehicle.
Would've been nice had it came with a "real" alarm system.

This is my third Navigator. First was a 2000 I bought with 100k on it. I was in a roll over wreck and it held me in like a roller coaster ride. So I then bought a 2002 and just sold it and got a 2006 I will never own another type of suv the safety is great. I love the interior over my 2002 so much better and the performance is a lot better.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Lincoln Navigator?
The 2006 seems to have cheap plastic pieces on the dash that tend to make noise when you travel on a rough road.

The gorgeous look of the vehicle.
The comfort and safety.
The liftgate and retractable running boards.
I have driven it in the worst conditions and it came through with flying colors.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Lincoln Navigator?
Better navigation system. I use a Garmin placed on the dashboard instead of the inbuilt navigation.
2006 Lincoln Navigator Review:
I own a limited edition black on black monocromatic ultimate 2006 navigator. It has every bell and whistle imaginable and it surely is the most gorgeous looking vehicle on the road.
I would replace this with the exact year/model if necessary. I only like the 2006 models as they have that secret service look where-as the 2007 onward is too flashy for my liking and before 2006 they are too sporty looking.
I Love my navigator.

The Limited Edition version looks much nicer with the monochromatic pieces.
The interior is very roomy and nicely designed.
Power and shifting are good.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Lincoln Navigator?
We had a major electrical problem at about 90,000 miles where corrosion from water leaking into the car caused the left-hand power mirror to short out and a wiring module to short out. This repair was very expensive and it seems to have been related to a leak from the windshield, but the dealer can't find any leaking from the windshield so now it's just a mystery problem. The windshield leakage issue has been noted by others and has led to shorting out and damage of parts with a number of other owners. Lincoln should address this as it appears to be a manufacturing defect that causes the problem.
2006 Lincoln Navigator Review:
Very nice car inside and out. Newer models (2007+) have a smoother ride but seem to accelerate more sluggishly. Newer models also get better fuel economy and have an up-to-date feel in the Navigation/display/audio system. The limited edition is one of the nicest looking SUVs from the front. Lots of aftermarket modifications exist.

What's not to like? Good looks, great handling for a 3-ton truck, comfort and ease of entry and exit for us older guys :)
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Lincoln Navigator?
Obviously the mileage is a big issue with all large suv's, not just the Navigator. I don't know why they cannot throttle back to 4 cylinders when crusing at higher speeds. Maybe a cvt like they use in combines would produce better mileage.
2006 Lincoln Navigator Review:
This is the perfect car for those who need the extra space and desire the incredible luxury the Navigator offers. My wife has an '03 and it just keeps running with very little in the way of repairs. So far, replacing that battery (which, if you've never noticed, is about the size of a small Toyota) has been the most expensive repair we have had.
I looked at the Escalade as well as the Nav and decided to keep our an all Navigator family :)
