The center console/cupholder
2006 Mazda Miata Review:
I traded in my 1999 Miata for a 2006 and really like it so far. That acceleration is fun, and the 2006 grips the road a lot better than my 1999 Miata.
However, I hate how they wasted precious storage space with a useless center console. They could have made a nice little storage space like the 1999 has with a change spot, sunglasses holder and everything. Why on Earth do I need 2 more cupholders when I have them in the doors?
And I would have thought they could've made a little storage in the doors, too, instead of wasting that space.
I love the three bins behind & between the seats, and the glove compartment is roomy.
Why did they get rid of the nifty electric door locks of the 1999 breed? When I locked my driver's side door, the other side also locked. I didn't need a separate "power lock" button. You'd think the engineers would keep all the good stuff when they make changes......

Cockpit is roomy and comfortable, and sight lines are clear. No blind spots.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mazda Miata?
Cup holder in door is too low - it hits the driver's leg. A movable sun visor would be better when sun is shining from the side.
