Pros: What do you like about 2006 Mercury Milan?
Car handles well.
The exterior is sleek.
Sound system is great.
Interior is comfortable and looks good.
A lot of room in back seat.
Plenty of storage.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
Improve the 4cyl motor and gas mileage.
Change the upholstery material.
Shifted very rough after 45,000 miles.
2006 Mercury Milan Review:
Gas Mileage not the best but adequate in a 4 cylinder however I would suggest the 6 cyl. The 4 does really good when it is new and slowly it gets very sluggish pulling out.
The one I owned made really loud noises when you started it up after about 45,000 miles, especially when it was cold. I serviced mine at the garage where I purchased it and tried to do it on schedule. I did let the oil changes go to 4000 miles a couple times but for the most part it was serviced in a very timely manner.
I hated the limited visibility you have backing up.
I also hated the upholstery on the seats. Mine was black sort of a velvet feel. The carpet was also black, if you purchase one make sure the interior is not the above. I had to use a lint roller to clean the seats it showed everything and everything sticks to it. The interior was next to impossible to keep looking clean.
I didn't hate it but I recently wrecked it and will not be purchasing a new one.

2006 Mercury Milan Review:
I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PIECE OF JUNK LIKE U PUT ON THE ROAD!!! BECAUSE OF THIS STUPID PIECE OF JUNK STALLING (YES THE GAS WAS TO THE FLOOR TO TRY & GET IT OUT OF THE WAY) IN THE MIDDLE OF A VERY VERY BUSY ROAD IT ALMOST KILLED 4 PEOPLE. MY HUSBAND BOUGHT ME THIS BRAND NEW FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY, IT'S NEVER BEEN TREATED BAD & HAD ALL OIL CHANGES & INSPECTION'S IT IS SUPPOSE TO HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Premier V-6 has plenty good power.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
Console radio needs manual tuner.
A/C is weird when it comes on - it blasts out on high; needs memory control system.
Passenger side wiper corroded way too fast and they needed to be in normal stock supply at dealership, not a special order.
But all this is for naught because the Mercury line is being phased out. Interior space is sawed off and uncomfortable like a nice suit with a cheap interior. Kinda glad Ford killed off Mercury.

Almost everything.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
Left Turn Ratio.
Gas Mileage.
No Aux input.
Recline of passenger seat is poor.
Problems none are major other than the gas mileage.

I feel there was an issue with the way the cars trans was geared. Felt as though it was geared for city driving. Rpm's ran too high on highway trips - four cyl had rpm at 2800 at 65 miles per hour. Improve on trans gearing.
Engine was very loud. I do not think car engine would hold up very long.
2006 Mercury Milan Review:
I bought 2006 Mercury Milan used 25,000 miles. Was not very pleased - engine noise for a four cyl was horrible. Drove car to Lexington Va. my son was following with 2006 Toyota corolla 65 miles per hour rpm's in Milan 2800, all you could hear was the motor. Gas mileage was poor. Was very unhappy with car. Also turning radius to the left was horrible - needs a foot ball field to make u turn. Traded car in after 6 months.

The engine noise on the 4 cylinder is very bad.
The gas mileage is sorry. Mine gets around 24 city and highway.
The resale is not good.

I LOVE THE RIDE. I LOVE THE SLEEK LOOK. THE MILAN HAS MORE ROOM THAN YOU THINK. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE TRUNK SPACE

I WOULD LIKE AN ASH TRAY AND CIGARETTE LIGHTER. THE AWD VERSION APPEARS TO BE A BIT HEAVY ON THE GAS, BUT THE MILAN DOES HAVE A VERY BIG TANK. AND THEN, THERE'S THE OIL COMPANIES.

Milan I4 good milage 5000 mile check was 29.5 ride comfort looks good sound system large trunk steady on the steering.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Mercury Milan?
The only complaint I have is the engine when it is cold its noisy.

Irate it a 10 all around. the milage on a 5000 mile check was 29.5 city hiway mix. It warms up quick in cold weather.head lights are beter than my 2003 tarus I liked my 2003 tarus but the milan is up scale all around.
