Pros: What do you like about 2006 Porsche 911?
I love the performance, the handling and the overall driving of the car. It's a joy to get behind the wheel of my 6 speed.

I like the fact that styling doesn't change much and as so my 2006 has passed for a brand new model on several occasions.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Porsche 911?
The button on the ignition key to pop the hood is way too touchy. Pops all the time.

My biggest complaint is I now work from home and don't drive it everyday, the battery dies. I am on a first name basis with AAA and the local towing company in town. They don't even have me sign paperwork anymore. I go for maybe a week without driving it and then maybe 10 days. I'm told this car must be driven every few days to keep the battery charged........I DON'T LIKE THAT! I want to keep the mileage down and why waste gas when you don't need to go anyplace?

Also I have had to replace my seatbelt TWICE in just 5 years.

2006 Porsche 911 Review:
This is my second Porsche. My first was a 2000 Boxster and I loved it but wanted a grown up Porsche 911 so my dealer found me exactly what I wanted with-in a week. I couldn't have been happier and continue to love driving it 5 1/2 years later. This one must last me forever now and I have no doubts it will.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Porsche 911?
Handling, smooth power, wonderful engine sound.
I've driven on long trips of over 1,200 miles and the only complaint is the from the fat tires on the Carrera S. The new Michelin Super Sports are an improvement over the PS2.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Porsche 911?
Not much. Mine has the full leather interior with GPS. The Terra-cotta color is beautiful. More power, of course.

2006 Porsche 911 Review:
My 1989 3.2 feels more solidly built, but next to the 2006, it takes more energy to drive hard and is slower. Considering the 2006 has six airbags, PSM, PASM, etc., Porsche did a wonderful job controlling weight, while improving the basics. Imagine, good A/C while stuck in gridlock at 93 degrees, with rich sound from the pipes and speakers. All complemented by unsurpassed performance and quality.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Porsche 911?
Of course, everything Porsche! New exterior styling is wonderful - fresh yet true to the distinct shape of the 911. Own a 2001 996 and really adore the interior, except for lack of glove box (fixed in subsequent years). New interior mimics less of nature and instead is more geometric (interior door handles and lever). However, I do like the new dash, especially with full-leather...more stitching leads one to sense true luxury and craftsmanship. I'm sure the extra 20 HP with 997 is welcomed improvement to my model that already has plenty of power and agility. Love the "new" oval headlights and the rear bumber of GT3.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Porsche 911?
Door interiors could be redesigned to look less forced-by-design and more natural. A convertible folding hard top would be nice, but quite the challenge to stow above the engine bay. Possibly add hatchback functionality to rear window for all 911s, similar to Targa.

2006 Porsche 911 Review:
Absolutely love our convertible 996 and would purchase a 997 if budget and reason allowed. Once you drive one, and are tuned into the sweet engine and exhaust notes, you will be hooked.

If you can afford it, there is nothing else like a Porsche. And the 911 is the ultimate Porsche.
