Pros: What do you like about 2006 Porsche Cayman S?
Great feel. Encourages you to push harder and harder. Steering, clutch feel, A gear box like silk, race car brakes, perfect balance and control at speed. Confidence inspiring at all speeds especially at triple digits.

Owned two corvettes both of which had more than 100 more hp. Would not go back. The handling and chasis stability is simply in another league. The Vettes were nervous and scary at speed. The Cayman seems to have a magnet sucking it to the road. 100+ mph is so different compared to the Vettes. Sure footed. No drama.

Plus, I have never had so many people ogling a car for its looks. It's just a work of art visually.

Cons: How would you improve 2006 Porsche Cayman S?
Power baby!! This thing could so easily handle another 150 hp. Maybe I'll spring for the after market turbo. With its mid engine balance and remarkable poise I'd call that automotive heaven!!

The sound system is awful. Fortunately the motor sounds so fantastic I keep the sound system off. The thing is not a great long distance car. Just too much interior noise. Since I have other vehicles this is not an issue. But it will wear you out in a couple of hours.

2006 Porsche Cayman S Review:
I have long been addicted to torquey American V8's. This car changed my mind. I miss the instant grunt of the small block Chevy in the Corvettes but not much else.

The Cayman is so small and nimble. It wraps around you like a true sports car and feels like a race car when pushed. The controls are telepathic. Connected. Immediate.

And the sound... Man! Having seen the great 917's in person, this thing harkens back to that wail! Above 5000 rpm it just fills the cabin. Wow!

As far as speed... It won't match a Vette by a few tenths to 60 but it's way faster than you can ever really go on public roads anyway. Speed wise, it satisfies.

My only problem was the terrible dealership I bought it from. The car is perfect. However, the manor in which I was dealt by the car salesman was horrible. Everyone needs to be very leery of dealing with these people. My 2006 guards red Cayman s was brought to my home in Paducah, ky from the dealership in southern Florida chained to the back of something you would hook your lawnmower up to. There were scratches all over it.
