I love the pickup it has, it's very rugged, walks right out of the ice and snow with the awd. Very sporty with a little elegance. The stereo rocks. It's really a great car for us women.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Subaru Forester?
I need an area to place my handbag in the front of the car. It sounds funny but when you have a passenger, you don't have room for the purse except to put it in the back seat.
2006 Subaru Forester Review:
The interior and exterior is very easy to keep clean. The Subaru performs better in any kind of weather than any other car I have owned. Overall, I think more women should own one.

Fix constant O2 sensor problems/fix driver distance to clutch steering/work on smoother 5 speed decelleration (sp?)
2006 Subaru Forester Review:
Not as wonderful as I had hoped. Not as good in snow, smooth gear shifts, driver comfort. Am squashed against steering wheel in order to reach clutch.

Seems to be well built. My XT performs well for its class. Handling & ride are quite good for a compact SUV.Attractive outside & inside.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Subaru Forester?
5-speed auto transmission.
OE tires sub standard. Much improved when I put a set of good tires on it. The hatch cover rattles, and this really is annoying in a vehicle that costs over $28,000.
2006 Subaru Forester Review:
I would seriously consider buying another Forester XT. But there is a lot of competition in the same price range these days, and I would look carefully before buying another Forester.

looks cheap inside, no leg room for back seats. no cassette player. Steel wheels? come on! High priced for little car . Most dealers are only one in town-like it/buy it, if not go somewhere else. Cars are not like women, don't fall in love before you buy.

Rebates/seats that didn't come from Wal-Mart/Aloy wheels are old technology put em on/Radio Shack has a cheap inside/outside temperature gage, Subaru can't fird one?
