Very nice interior and comfortable inside.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Suzuki Forenza?
Engine overheating. Replaced waterpump. Then head shaved down and replace head gasket. The replaced heater core. Oil leak. Since January 5, auto has been drivable 11 days. Now back in shop, heavy black smoke from exhaust and losing oil plus just won't go. Auto comes out of shop and breaks down within one or two days.

This car is either being repaired by someone who does not know what they are doing or car should be in junk yard.

Nothing..... I want my money back.

Nothing. I got mine brand new and the headlights fell out on the way home. 2 days later I went to the car wash and when I was finished I noticed the paint was gone on my door handles. At exactly 5,021 miles my trans shift sensor went out. At 6,000 miles the left rear shock blew out and around the same time the heater blower motor went out. At 9k miles the pass mirror control switch went out. It gets really bad mpg. the seats are not user friendly. My radio doesn't work any more. It rides very rough and the road noise is very annoying.

I am having problems with the motor light coming on, on the dash board. I was told it was the censor - had it changed 2 months ago and it is on again. What could be the problem now?

Road noise on rough roads is kind of loud, not bad though.
Rattles a little on rough roads.
Better gas mileage.
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
I did this review just as an update, I did one when we bought the car at 29,000 miles, it now has over 37,000 and is still running good. We have had literally no problems except one bent rim which was replaced easily.
The gas mileage could be better, we average 21 mpg, but we drive city all the time. We have been pleased and hope for it to last many more miles.
The interior materials are awesome. I feel like I'm in a more upscale car. Value per dollar is great in my opinion. I will say though, this car is not made completely by Suzuki, it's made mostly by GM Daewoo with a GM Holden engine.

I' bought my Suzuki Forenza in 2006 brand new, at about 16000 thousand miles. I started having problems - while driving about 60 miles per hour, the car slow down all way down to almost 20 miles. It took three trips to the dealer for them to find out that the problem was - a bad transmission sensor. After that, I did'nt have any more problems.
The only problem was that if I step up on the gas pedal too much the engine would sputter and had to let off on the gas for the car to pick up speed.
At 35,000 miles I had to replace all four struts, cost me $894.00 to replace.
In December 2010 at about 36,000 miles on a rainy day, while I was turning on an intersection, the power steering locked up and car started spinning around. I could not control it because I didn't have any power steering. The car was totaled. After I had a bad wreck I was lucky not to get hurt myself.

Door handles break easily.
Car has no power.
Everything you could think of, from brakes to timing belt to valve cover leaks etc. car is a headache and the worst car I have ever purchased; would never do it again.
They don't stand behind car and cost a ton to get fixed, repairs or worth more than the car!

How would I improve the car? I really can't say. Maybe stand behind the work I put in it? This car is a total let down. This car is unsafe! I don't know why someone can't do something about this company!
2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
I bought the car brand new. It had 60 miles when I drove it off the lot and I thought it was going to be a great car! Boy was I wrong. First, the 02 sensor and head lights went out after it hit 100 miles. Then at 500 the head lights again. Then all seemed to go ok until the seatbelt fasteners went, then the serpentine belt went at 31,000, had to put in a new engine (the guy at the repair shop said that it is unheard of at this low mileage) and that ran over $4,000 after all was said and done. When the belt went out, I had my 7 year old son in the car and our new puppie and we were not close to home and the car pros of Tacoma said to bring it to them but if they find that the oil change was even a day late it would not be covered under warranty. In fact not much is cover under this warranty. This is a bad car. Please for the safety of your family, don't buy this car.
Since this has happened to my car, I have found 3 more people in the city of Tacoma that has had this happen to them and if there is 3 here, how many is out there that these people are putting in danger!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mother is in failing health and I cannot drive my car to see her because I cannot trust it. The engine light stays on they can't find anything wrong with it. And now? Both of the front door handles inside have broken off and it's so hard to get out of the car! Is it covered my a recall? NO!!!!!! What a shock! This company is a piece of crap company that puts our a piece of crap car!!

I own a Suzuki Forenza and it's the biggest rip off anybody could invest in. It has continuous engine over heating problems, head lights burn out every other month and the struts are terrible. Car feels like it's going to fall apart at every bump and turn. Good advice never buy an Suzuki Forenza!

2006 Suzuki Forenza Review:
My first new car purchase. Probably also my last. This piece of crap has less than 50K miles on it, and I've spent several thousand dollars in repair, not to mention the TWO TIMES I've had to replace the tires. The door handles were not covered when I took it in, and the Suzuki dealership closed down not long after I bought the car, so I have to take it to a crazy expensive repair shop. Today, the engine block seized up and I can't get it to do anything. We're upside down in the stupid thing and I'm about to let the financing company take it. PIECE OF JUNK; DO NOT BUY.
