Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Highlander?
It's an overall good vehicle. My wife really wanted one but says it has began to loose it's appeal after driving my new lease (not a toyota).
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Highlander?
In my opinion still has typical boring toyota design, they seem to be using cheaper feeling materials, and very average road feel. Pricey for what you get, but resale should be top notch (people will blindly pay-up, like us).
2006 Toyota Highlander Review:
My wife had to have a toyota because when she was shopping all of her friends mentioned them. I felt, and now she also believes, that other brands have not only better values but also better vehicles. Overall it is a nice vehicle, but we haven't experienced the infamous toyota build quality or reliability.

i put 32000 on it 1st 12 mo.live in palm springs,120 degrees this summer,>100 days over 100 degrees no problems.drive to 6000feet sno ice no problems.exllent traction.it is about all i had wished for,hybred system averaged about 40% better mpg than 2003 pilot-25to28 mpg with no drive pattern change.the two electric motors work at the slo and hi ends,and really make acceleration exciting i luv it

Handles well and is comfortable.

Open back from inside.
Not happy with vents.

Just right size, quiet easy ride, roomy rear seat

better arm rest, longer wider seats, better cupholders in front, 2nd row air
2006 Toyota Highlander Review:
Owned 2 months, first toyota, ride closest to an old 78 Mercury Marquis which was so easy to drive; quiet and smooth comfortable on 3 hour drive, versatile. Fits in the garage well also--not too big but great usable cargo space

the vehicle is real nice to drive and looks good iam satisfied all around with this suv i own the v 6 model its great on long trips ny to fl and back

Responsive handling, smooth quiet ride. Acceleration (with 4WD)is very surprising. Exterior looks are sporty (Hybrid version) with 17" wheels. JBL sound system is good.

More 3rd seat leg room. Rear A/C control. 12V DC outlet in 2nd seat area.
