Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
Gas mileage, handling, interior finish and space, overall utility
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
better exterior design, more interesting exterior colors, needs a factory roof rack, more horsepower
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
Great little utility car thats good on gas. nice interior finish and features, but it needs more horsepower, brawnier body design, and a roof rack to make it the ultimate econo-utility vehicle.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
EASE OF ENTERING , CARGO BAY GREAT FOR ease in LIFTING OUT HEAVY MATERIALS,GREAT VISIBILTY,
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
needs much better handling in bad wet or snowy weather
Tachometer swings up and down when the road surface is the slightest bit wet or icy.
Fuel economy is not even close to the highway 34 mpg ( I am averaging 26-28) highway
The auto stick shift was pulled into reverse when a package handle wrapped around it when I was taking the package out of the car and the car lurched into reverse!!
Instead of the cheat felt on the roof why not just plastic? I haul hay and wood, and a goat in the car and hay always dangle sdown from the felt.(make it more like the Element)
I buy a spare (real tire) but it cannot fit into the donut hole! So I have to carry the spare behind the passenger seat.
In order to get side air bags, I had to order a car with a roof window. This is a really stupid package!
Front seats could go back further for long legs
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
Mixed review.some serious issues with handling and power Feul economy not as advertised

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
6-speed, acceleration at higher RPMs, fold down seets, JBL stereo/speakers, many compartments store items, dash design, side airbags, driver seat sits up high
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
Front design is a little crammed...the parking brake, center console and cup holders are bunched together. Cigarette outlet is right in front of were you shift into reverse making it tough to shift when you have something (XM radio unit) plugged into it.
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
The XRS model is just fun to drive. It moves when you need to move. The 6- speed is the way to go with this vehicle. Great steering that handles well.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
Seats are very comfortable. I love how back ones fold completely flat. Plenty of storage space and air bags.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
Outside mirrors could be a bit bigger, maybe I'm just used to the SUV size mirrors. Not that I'm going to tow anything heavy with it, but I yet to find out if you can install a hitch on this baby, just for the bike rack.
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
I was hesitant to trade in my 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara mainly because I didn't want to give up the 4WD capability. Having one kid and another one on the way however, the lack of back seat room was a killer. The Matrix is just right!! Better fuel economy, plenty of room and I get to keep the AWD for those snowy winters here in Chicago. Before the Matrix I looked at the Chevy HHR and the PT Cruiser, neither one offers AWD and the Toyota quality jumps right at you when you compare them, no contest!!!

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
The design is great, both inside and out. I also love that you can fold down the seats for easy cargo holds. It has definitely come in handy!
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
The only gripe I could possibly have with this vehicle is that it could use a bit more pick-up. It's not the peppiest car I've ever driven.
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
The Matrix has worked out very well for me. I live in Los Angeles, and use the Matrix to commute daily from work. I have owned the matrix for about a year and a half, and have not had a single problem since I purchased it. It is reliable, comfortable, practical, and stylish. I couldn't ask for much more.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
Fold down seats, which gives you plenty of extra room for travel and hauling. The dash is layed out very nicely
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
This is my only complaint: the back Tonneau cover is not strong enough hangs down when installed.Should be made of hard material to look neat.
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
I did look at five different makers before I decided on the Matrix. It offered everything I wanted for the money. I knew it had the same proven engine that the Corolla had, this was a big factor.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
I love the way the seats fold down, even the passenger seat - I can carry a LOT of stuff. And I have found an additional little compartment I didn't even know was there! Great!!! Like the huge center console and radio/CD player nice.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
What's with no map lights? And it would have been nice to have power mirrors included in the power package. Wish you could invent a way to make bugs not stick to windshield and front!!!!!
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
This is a very gun car to drive and I love the gas mileage I am getting. I average over 35 mpg on the hwy. and 30 mpg city - even better than expected. This car will be with me for a very long time so I chose a car I would love for a very long time. So far, it is definitely the right decision. I think several people will be getting a Matrix because of me!!

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
AWD roominess, but compact great gas mileage(30+mpg) under $19,000 including bells & whistles sleek design--neither clunky nor too big solid, reliable, value-holding Toyota!
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
Plusher front seats--I am tall with long legs, and wish I could find a seat that supports my entire thigh down to the knees.
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
I live in the Berkshire Mountains (read mega snow and ice). This car, with all season radials, although packed in with snow from the plow, drives out like it was summer. What a delight. Add to that great gas mileage, space for luggage for a long trip and my huge German Shepherd, all the bells and whistles one could want (auto key, air, cruise, etc)--all for under $19,000--who could ask for more? And a Toyota to boot--I could find no better car on the road for reliability and long-term value, and I did my homework.

Pros: What do you like about 2006 Toyota Matrix?
Well built. Drives predictably. Sufficient power for commuting. Good MPG. Cargo area w/ seats down.
Cons: How would you improve 2006 Toyota Matrix?
Allow odometer to display with trip meter. Better legroom for taller drivers. My physically smaller Corolla had better use of space in this regard. Better cargo cover. Bigger side mirrors. Improved air control layout.
2006 Toyota Matrix Review:
Had a '93 Corolla. Decided to buy a Matrix based on experience w/ Toyota. This is a typical Toyota, very well built, drives fine. Driver legroom is not good, I'm 6-0. Right leg has very little room between the dash and center console. Drivers seat is very uncomfortable. I seem to fall to the right side in it. Hope it just needs breaking in but fear otherwise. Odometer/trip meter cycles with small button behind wheel that you can't push while driving. Can't see both trip/odo @ same time. I like to always see the odo. Air controls badly placed behind shifter. Cargo cover chintzy. Forced to buy cargo pad as none standard, cargo will shift w/out one. Based on legroom & seat comfort may not keep car very long.
