The size, quite a bit of room for a small car.
Good gas mileage.

You can't improve anything until GM recalls-
Defects in lower control arms!!!!!
Defects in power steering!!
Paint chipping off, trunk has no rubber piece around trunk cover, lets water and ice build up..
Cloth interior on the door panels.
Wipers suck!
Tires cheap brand.
Lights hold moisture from weather!!

I got this car in May 2010. Had 79,000 miles on it.
I love the looks of my car.
Great gas mileage.
Runs very good.
Not had any problems out of my car.
I love the power it has.
It's the best car I've ever owned.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt?
Change the interior. It needs arm rest in the front. Arm gets tired shifting gears. But I love the car and I will deal with it.
Wish it had cruise control.

2007 Chevrolet Cobalt Review:
At 30,000 miles the injector had to be replaced. Now that I'm at 56,490 miles, I had to change all sort of engines parts. This car is not worth the money that we payed for it, wish I have never bought this car.

The exterior styling is excellent, except the trunk lid access is small.
Really nice pep in this engine (2.2 L).
At this point, after 3 yrs and only 26,000 mi. of primarily city driving, I'm happy with the gas mileage; it jumps up nicely on the highway to get about 34 mpg.

Different interior seats and the center console needs some design help!
To date I've had no major maintenance issues.
I was not happy with the dealership and sales people, comparing to past experience - TERRIBLE!
The one item I do find annoying, the spoiler on the truck lid does limit rear views while driving and parking.
2007 Chevrolet Cobalt Review:
Overall on specific car issues, this car has been really great for me. The external views of this car are nice and sporty, the interior does need some upgrades. The truck lid needs to be just a bit bigger. The car has not caused me any major issues, so overall the car gets an above average rating from me.

2007 Chevrolet Cobalt Review:
Bought car new in 2007 for a 2nd vehicle. No Complaints! 56,000 Miles and my average fuel economy is 36.5 MPG...
Only change my oil when the GM Oil Life Monitor System is at 0%-5% which for my driving style is about every 10,000 miles. Rotate my tires at oil change and still am running the original tires with 56,000 miles. No squeaks, no rattles, 0 Warranty issues...
A Little Advice to those reading these reviews, take most of these reviews you read at face value. Driver style has the most to do with car trouble, low fuel economy, broken parts, rattles, premature tire wear, worn rotors, slipping clutches and so on... The same people writing bad reviews about this car are going to burn up their next car too, it doesn't matter who manufactured it... HAPPY SHOPPING.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt?
I like the gas mileage (I added a K&N filter and gas mileage really improved), I like the feel of the clutch. Nice ride...except my lower control arm bushing are SHOT within 40k miles! GM would not cover under extended warranty. SO it sounds like metal slapping on metal as I'm driving because the bushings are totally useless. That's the only issue I have, otherwise I love the car. My CD player doesn't work real well in the winter, it skips now and again.

I would improve on the front suspension parts for sure! I would also put factory tires on that last more than 50K miles. I have 44K on my car, I had to put new tires on this month. Apparently we can only get 40k good miles onto the factory provided "Continental" tires. I would maybe make the interior a little more comfortable too.

The interior upholstery is cheap and will probably wear out sooner than expected. Had to replace the drivers side seat belt, passenger side seat belt buckle, radio, steering column, air bag, lower control arm bushings, body control module (computer), center console and the outside temperature sensor twice. The paint has a lot of dirt in it, looks like a monkey painted it. Now my gas gauge reads incorrectly. Had to replace the factory bolt on hubcaps because they rattled and squeaked so bad. Spent almost $1000 on new tires and 17 inch rims. If I would have known the car would give me so much trouble, I never would have spent the money on them. The gas mileage isn't all that great even before I put the bigger tires and rims on there. When I start the car every morning, the engine "rattles". I have tried different brand oil filters, nothing helps.

My car has been in the shop more than my garage. Had to replace air bag, steering column, BCM ( computer) radio, door panel, center console, lower control arm bushings, and temperature sensor twice....my car only has 15000 miles on it.
Also, has valve train noise on cold starts, drives me nuts! Have tried different oil filters, nothing helps.

better clutch, rear window veiw, standard traction control,guard for condencer and radiator on bottom (don't run over cat $2800.00)

car looks great warranty misslead (read the fine print) clutch is starting to slip no reason for it no mechanical or broke parts. clutch looks good but still slips ?
