2007 Chevrolet HHR Review:
We have the 2006 orange(I like to refer to it as "celestial metallic tangerine") HHR which gets more attention than I ever anticipated. Folks are either staring because they think it's absolutely awesome, they can't quite figure out how they feel about it, or they are amazed that anyone would buy such a thing. I drive 45,00 miles per year and have had mostly Toyota's for fear of the longevity of the domestic engines. The financing incentives were so great on the Chevys that I decided to give one a fair shot at convincing me differently about the American autos of the new millenium. So far, I've been very impressed with how well thought out the car is designed, and how many features it has for the price. I purchased it July 4th 2006, and have not had a single problem with it in the 21,000 miles that I already put on it. Only time will prove it's reliability over the long haul. I wish it had a little more guts, but that would probably be at the cost of the surprisingly good gas mileage I'm getting (about 27-29mpg overall).
Maybe I'm missing something, but the interior lighting leaves much to be desired and seem like it was made for a totally different car. There is no headliner light above the front driver and passenger. There are 2 in the rearview mirror way up there that shine nicely down onto the dash, and leave the front seating totally in the dark. The one headliner light in the car is above the rear seats and unreachable for anyone up front with less than 39" arms. Very odd. I had to buy a battery powered LED stick-on light from Home Depot to be able to see anything in the driver's seating position at night. Otherwise, they got many things very right in the functionality of the design. If your looking for a well-equipped, nicely priced, fuel efficient, fun (not fast) car that constantly draws looks and comments, go for the HHR.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
Almost everything.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
I jut had my 2007 with 45,000 miles on it in for "the works", oil change, etc. Complained that the car was so noisy that couldn't hear the radio or conversation, and asked to check the tires (sounded like I was driving on snow tires). Turns out the left front wheel bearing was shot. They suggested that I not even drive it home, after I'd been driving with that noise six months! At least it was covered under the power-train warranty.

But the front passenger door handle which had suddenly stopped working wasn't covered. They told me the whole panel had to be replaced, and it was not covered as it was considered "trim". Unbelievable! Cost will be $425 to replace. So for now, we roll down the window and reach outside to open the door!

2007 Chevrolet HHR Review:
Overall, I love my HHR, at least until the last time I took it in for service! I particularly like the cargo room with the rear seats down.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
Look.
Size.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
Better speakers sound for music, location of cup holder, Engine light always stays on that affecting power problems since it was 60000 miles, that almost caused me accident on I-95....very scary..now my engine is back to the GM factory not at dealership.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
It looks cool.
I get great mileage - far more than the 24 hwy mpg it was rated. I do a mix of city/hwy driving and have never gotten less than 28 mpg and usually tip 30 mpg.

It does have plenty of room inside and the height makes it easy for my arthritic legs to get in and out easily.

I bought mine used with 42,000 and now have 59,000 on it. Nice ride; adequate handling.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
The cupholders are useless.
The window buttons are in a stupid place.
Not near enough storage compartments.
The seats stain so easily and when you try to clean them, even with a high quality auto cleaner, all you get is a bigger stain. Go for the leather!

2007 Chevrolet HHR Review:
I really like the car, but would love it if the interior were nicer. Of course, I traded in a luxurious Buick Rendezvous to get better mileage, so I guess it would be hard for an HHR to compare.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
Great ride!
Fun to drive!
Great heated seats!
Buy one loaded with leather, it's worth the money!

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
Both front rotors on brakes warped within 25,000 miles. Had to be replaced.

Cup holders in odd place, too far back.

Shakes when idling.

2007 Chevrolet HHR Review:
Love the car! Would buy another one!

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
The gas mileage.
The looks.
The fold down back seats.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
The breaks, I have had mine in 3 times and looking at a four very soon to fix them.
I hate the window button location.
I think the seats need a lil more cush.
I would like to see a different tire on them, not great in the winter.

2007 Chevrolet HHR Review:
It's a great car if you live in warmer states with no snow. I think it rides a lil on the stiff side. Great on gas, fun to drive.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
Steady "check engine light" always on even after they fix it for the 5th times, rough idling mode... Chevy said they would've given me new engine but never did...

2007 Chevrolet HHR Review:
Nice car except for the "engine light" always on most all the time, and rough idling.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
2007 HHR good gas mileage, looks, A-C unit always cold air, stereo, rims,
tinted windows, aerodynamic like the old suburban!

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
2007 HHR could be a little bigger, could use a bigger engine like the 6 cyl 3.8 in the 2002 Impalas etc., could use better upholstery like the 2002 Impala cloth interior stain resistant!

2007 Chevrolet HHR Review:
Pretty happy with our 2007 HHR.
