Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle?
The design utilizes dead space. Example: the compartments on the dash, the doors, and in the third row. Many Cup holders.

Price tag affordable. Offers a variety of upgrades, but can mix and match -example: don't have to get top of the line to get sunroof and rear detection.

Offers the Most room in all ('07) third row options available and also Most Trunk space. Also Great to have split seat option. Great for Home Depot trips, can fold seats to accommodate 8ish foot pieces of wood, or 32" base kitchen cabinet (while still fitting 5 passengers comfortably).

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle?
I wish the second row seats rolled forward (like the saturn outlook) instead of flipping. -NO injuries, 3 boys, had vehicle 2+ yrs. so far. I wish the 3rd row seating fit 3 instead of 2.

Wish exterior was curvy instead of boxy.

FACTORY TIRES (that come with the NEW car) STINK!!! Wear uneven, crap for traction, & forget about the snow. -Replace the factory installed tires and all is well.

2007 Ford Freestyle Review:
Honestly, when you're purchasing a Ford....be realistic, you're not going to get a Lexus.

Yes the interior's kind of boring, but who cares. You can reach everything when your driving, it all works, controls are easy to understand, and you have the option of getting the more manual style or upgrade to the digital style.

AFFORDABLE, COMFORTABLE, ROOMY, & VERSATILE. Best of all... It's NOT a MINIVAN!!!!!

I love my FreeStyle.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle?
Size, flexibility, ride.
Interior layout, seats, fuel economy all great.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle?
Some of the plastics inside seem cheap, oddball tire/wheel size.
I can see why some would wish for more power but it is no contest with a 2008 Civic!

2007 Ford Freestyle Review:
I just bought a 2007 FWD SEL with 96 000 km and really love it. It's the minivan for people who hate minivans. Or the plus-sized wagon that nobody else offers. With a few other crossovers that seat 7, none to me seem as attractive as the Freestyle.

It is truly a pity that Ford discontinued them. I will try to keep mine as long as humanly possible, maybe even replace it with another if it were to die on me.

Here in Montreal, winter tires have become mandatory and it's hard to find some for a reasonable price. When you have 2 child seats in the car and a stroller at all times, there is still room for 3 more adults and/or groceries, etc. But I desperately was not ready for a minivan yet, and I may never be. They're generally ugly and clunky. To me this seems like a prefect blend of SUV, minivan and sedan. One of the 'truest' crossovers on the market. Too bad they didn't sell enough! Those who own them often love them to pieces.

I had to replace the alternator when I bought it and the dealership sold it with winter tires (in August!) so I needed a set of all seasons. Now with winter on the way I am planning to buy the snow tires and dedicated steel rims (also hard to find). I really have no complaints, though I think the AWD Limited or Taurus X must be a little more fun to drive.

Having said that, I'll take my FWD/CVT fuel economy over the long run. About the CVT: some reviews have trashed it because of the pre-programmed ride. In reality, the acceleration is super-smooth at the expense of FEELING the car's responsiveness. For a family hauler, this does NOT present a problem for me. Sporty driver (ie. single males) would probably object most to the ride/power. The ergonomics of the interior are excellent and I find it feels like a luxury package compared to the Civics and Outbacks I am used to driving.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle?
Before I mention what I like, it's important to say I've owned dozens of cars in many parts of the world.

What I like:
Seats & seating in general, the heated seating is brilliant in winter.
Some have mentioned blind spots, personally I think it's your driving position, with my mirrors set correctly I've had no problems, also ... try moving your head and stay off the phone.
I like the clean lines of the car, simple is better.
Cargo room is superb.
Gas mileage is good, I'm getting upwards of 28 highway & 22 in town, it's all in your foot.
Ride hight is very good too I think.
It corners very well, no need to back off on a curve, just squeeze the gas a little, you'll grip in and hold the line.

Basically .... I love the car.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle?
I'd replace the 3.0 ltr with a 3.5 ltr engine, it just needs a little more "get out of trouble" power.
GPS as standard, why would you not want one?.
18" wheels as standard.
Improve the ride a somewhat, firm suspension is great for road holding and cornering but a pain in the but on rough roads, it just needs softening up a bit.
I'd try and reduce the overall weight of the car, thereby improving gas mileage, it can be done.

2007 Ford Freestyle Review:
Great car, the Taurus X is almost the same, but uglier interior.
Dump the chrome Ford, it looks cheap.
I'm keeping my 2007 SEL Freestyle till the wheels drop off.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle?
I love my Freestyle. I bought it new in 2007, and I changed the brakes 2 times. And my wife and 4 kids fit comfortably in it.
I think it sounds great when you pass someone.
And it's also great in the snow.
It also looks like a fantastic car for only being a crossover. My father thinks it looks like a Subaru Outback.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle?
Could use a heated steering wheel. And a bigger fuel tank, an upgraded motor size. It would sound good with a v8 (Maybe).

2007 Ford Freestyle Review:
Overall my freestyle is a great car to own and drive. And I look forward to letting it be my daughters first car in 12 years. Great in snow btw.

Interior layout for driver and the rest of the circus.
Interior room.
Overall look of it.
Gas mileage.

More powerful engine.
Larger gas tank.

2007 Ford Freestyle Review:
Love the look and feel of the Freestyle. I like when you pass someone, it has a nice little rumble sound.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle?
The interior space and sleek design.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle?
The air went out 300 miles after the warranty expired.
Brake issues. Have had to replace the brake pads numerous times. Only have 50000 miles on it.
Now electrical issue. Car keeps surging when starting and stopping.
Gas mileage is nothing like advertised.
OMG and the cloth interior. One drop of condensation off a cup and you have a stain.
Don't get me wrong I love my car. Just think my next one will not be a Ford. I want something with a better warranty.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle?
The Freestyle is very roomy, and comfortable.
For the price, your getting a good deal.
I have 2 of em, one has 127000 on it and the other 160000 on it. Both run terrific.
Very little maintenance except for oil changes and such.
Handles fairly well.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle?
The acceleration is ok, but could be better.
The styling outside of course is very boring.
Engine makes a loud noise when started and on idle.
Needs to make the rearmost seats easier to open and close.

2007 Ford Freestyle Review:
Overall, a very good car for the deal. Not stylish or exciting to drive, but it gets the job done perfect. Whether your hauling a family or light cargo, the car does a great job and will fit your practicality needs perfect. They last if you treat em right. Better alternative to other foreign brands. Good ol wagon in general.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle?
Good fuel economy.
Nice on long trips.
Handles nice in snow.
Plenty of room for the family.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle?
Factory tires sucked. Poor handling, replaced, big difference.
Rear break/signal bulbs blow-out regularly, about every 4 months, must be the pot holes.
Brakes wear out after 25000 miles, front and back, replaced, no problems going on 60000+ miles.
Heating and cooling controls really suck. I have the digital automatic climate control, goes on when it wants and will not stop unless you pull over and press off, then turn car off, wait 5 seconds, then you can move on with your day. This problem has past.
The blower motor does not work any more - checked fuses and they are ok, checked motor and it's ok, checked climate control cluster and it's ok. Off to Ford for a 1500 dollar fix as it's out of warranty. Did I mention the rear climate controls and rear independent heating and cooling still work?
Also, Ford did not equip this vehicle to handle an mp3 or other device with the factory radio. But my 03 Explore is and it has none of the above problems going on 8 years and 105000 miles.

2007 Ford Freestyle Review:
Overall a good ride. Don't get the fancy climate control - get the standard controls or pay for an extended warranty on electrical components, and upgrade the sound system before you regret it. P.S. did I mention the automatic climate controls suuuuuuck!!!!!!!

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Ford Freestyle?
Handling in the winter weather. It is my choice for slick icy roads. It has a lot of room inside for family and luggage.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Ford Freestyle?
Not the car Ford themselves on how they handle their customers.

2007 Ford Freestyle Review:
I have had my Freestlye to repair shop twice, once for alternator and battery replacement, costing about 1100.00. The second trip was for our throttle body part that went out on our vehicle with only 44500 miles on it. We were informed that it could take 6 months to get part for. With service manager's help we were back in car within 1 week. Plan ahead for repairs. Ford customer service line wiped there hands with the situation because we did not have extended warranty on car. It was okay with them to be without a car for 6 months. There is a big problem for the newer cars getting parts due to parts distributors closing and going bankrupt. There were about 6 to 7 other customers at our dealership that had to wait and were without cars. Over all I am happy with the car. I hope this bump is the only bump that happens.
