Interior, handling of vehicle, sleek exterior. I really love the everything about my car except..............
Cons: How would you improve 2007 GMC Acadia?
I only have 55,000 miles on my 2007 Acadia and just had the water pump go out with my 3 children in the car with me...YIKES!
I also could use a few more horses under the hood but otherwise, things are great!
As far as improving the Acadia, the only thing better would be a convertible top on it! ha ha
2007 GMC Acadia Review:
I have been more pleased with my Acadia than any other vehicle I have owned but after reading other reviews, I'm getting a little nervous since there seem to be several common problems...... the water pump being one of them.
I had a minivan previous to my Acadia which had 180,000 miles before I totaled it and had only 1 SLIGHTLY major repair. So I am a little disappointed to have already been 2 days without my vehicle at only 55,000 miles because of repairs.

I love the interior of the car. It is roomy, love the onstar, stylish, the third row seat is wonderful. I looked at other suv, but the room inside the suv didn't compare to the Acadia.

Make the car reliable!!!!!!!!! DO NOT LET THE LOOKS FOOL U!!!!!!!!!!
2007 GMC Acadia Review:
The transmission blew at 61,000, lucky under warranty, and I have been driving a rental for 6 wks because GMC can't find a 2007 transmission. Now I know why, they are been replaced too often.
The air condition blew at 50,000 miles costing 1500 to fix.
When it rains the belts smoke and the stirring will stiff up.
The interior light for the door stop working at about 40,000 miles, second time having it replaced.

2007 GMC Acadia Review:
Car is very unreliable. Transmission blew at 41417 miles. Has been in the shop for numerous repairs. Tire pressure monitoring system, leaking tire, sunroof leakage, computer ect. My 2001 Dodge Ram is more reliable than this. Still on it's first transmission and engine with 110xxx miles on it. Don't buy this car ever.

2007 GMC Acadia Review:
It was fine for 2.5 years/34,000 miles. Then. . . two major repairs in 2 months (water pump and transmission). I was stuck calling tow truck with 3 children in car at night. UNRELIABLE, am trading in soon. Very disappointed.

Very roomy to accommodate myself, husband and 3 kids.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 GMC Acadia?
The worst car I have ever bought. What hasn't gone wrong. Both driver and passenger air conditions, both front windows, power steering, tires, transmission, brakes, master cylinder, brakes, air bag. This list goes on! Do Not buy an Acadia. Don't let its pretty exterior fool you!!!

I loved the cargo room and the large passenger seating.
I enjoy the smooth ride overall that it provides but it stops RIGHT with that.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 GMC Acadia?
I sure hope GM will do something about faulty mechanical conditions of this vehicle.
At 34K the water pump went out, was replaced under warranty.
Tires if you have the 19inch performance must be replaced every 25K, supposedly Michelin has a little harder tire on the market now.
It has made a whirring noise in the engine area at times and it has been to the dealer 4 times and they lube something and call it fixed.
At 45K the daytime running lights burned out and come to find out the harness that holds the bulbs were melted (YIKES) so it was out of warranty and I had to work with GM to get this resolved.
At 53K the vehicle required new brake system...geez my Tahoe went over 80K.
Today at 53,700 the Transmission went out. Currently under repair.
Also the paint on the exterior comes off right down to the metal if the least little thing touches it.
2007 GMC Acadia Review:
Okay if you read the "how would I improve the Acadia?" section above. I think GM needs to get their act together on this car. Supplier Parts are not tested for durability, etc. I have driven GM for over 25 years and I have never been more disappointed in a car purchase.
I am actually looking to dump this hunk of junk and find something more reliable to drive.

The 6 cylinder engine is some what smooth. Decent power. Bose sound system with XM radio.

Interior materials need improving. You can tell where GM cut corners, sticker price way too high. Getting the truck fixed right the first time.
2007 GMC Acadia Review:
Bought new in 2006, truck has 13,000 miles, the fuel pump is getting very noisey, inside door panels coming apart. Not what I expected for a truck costing well over 35,000 dollars.

2007 GMC Acadia Review:
A nice looking car in and out with a "real" third seat. Great car if built by Toyota. Too many problems, from traction control, stabilitrak, brake pedal, water leaks, rear door to DVD, all has had problems. Has spent over 30 days at the dealer in 7 months. That's more than my 4 Lexus in 12 years combined!

2007 GMC Acadia Review:
The Acadia is roomy, and holds the road well, but unfortunately there is an engine hesitation that GMC is aware of but can't fix. Our car (2008) hesitates when accelerating which GMC plays off as the car "operates as designed". Apparently they're ok with a poor design and safety concerns for their customers. No wonder GM is in trouble.

Great looking. 3rd row is great in a vehicle of this size.

Complete rehaul of the computer system. Mine was bought in April 2007 and has been in the shop at least 7 times for major issues that they can't seem to figure out.

Perhaps mine is a 'lemon', perhaps they have serious problems with the
Acadia. Bottom line - figure out the problems and fix them for he 08 models.
