Pros: What do you like about 2007 Honda Fit?
Absolutely astonishing interior space, particularly for the outside footprint.

Very nippy and fun to drive on twisty roads, very easy to park.

The sport model has a decent stereo, albeit terrible radio reception as a result of that itty bitty antenna, but you'll probably be using the AUX input or cd/mp3/WMA player if you were born after 1912.

If you're in to modifying cars, slap a turbo on it and do a cat delete and you'll get in the mid 40s for gas mileage while going 0-60mph in the 6-7 second range.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Fit?
Engine is a bit torqueless, and gets much BETTER gas mileage after I added a turbocharger. This tells me that it was built to an efficiency benchmark, which makes my car enthusiast soul a bit sad. Not that there's anything wrong with clean-burning cars, but I prefer a bit more umph. I find the car to be perfect for my needs after my forced-induction upgrade.

2007 Honda Fit Review:
I bought my 2007 Fit in 2007, when there was a 3 month waiting list to get one. I picked out a red one, with the sport package (which includes a body kit, remote entry, cruise control, and a much better stereo) and manual transmission 3 months in advance. I didn't even need to test drive the car, it was my first car and I don't regret my purchase in the slightest. The car is cheap to run, cheap to fuel, cheap to insure, and FITs every gosh darn thing I own.

After driving my shiny, brand-spanking new car for about 15,000 miles, I decided it was time for me to enter the modification world. I started with the little ricer things, like a loud exhaust and a big intake. If you have no idea what these things do, or have no interest in them, look to another review. This one is not aimed at you, and that is not necessarily a bad thing.

I finally decided that 109 (or, as was estimated after my modifications, 112) horsepower just wasn't enough for my 20 year old, Mechanical Engineering student self. I was making all my own payments, and somehow found the cash to put a turbocharger upgrade on my fit. After a full weekend (no sleep), and a week of wiring, I had a turbocharged fit. Since then, I have begun on a whirlwind of practical knowledge, and now have a fit that makes in the neighborhood of 170-180 horsepower and gets in the 40 mpg range. I can say with pride that I have done ALL of my own work on this Fit, including the in depth and complicated ECU tuning.

In short, the Fit is an EXCELLENT car. To me, it really is the car for every man. It is cheap, efficient, economical, and relatively easy to modify. This car will probably always be in my garage, as it is truly the nexus to what I hope will be a future of car modification and performance tuning.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Honda Fit?
Great sports car-like handling. Very fun to drive!
Wonderful reconfigurable seats and cargo capacity.
Good MPG.
Great factory sound system.
Awesome build quality.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Fit?
Needs more power.
Using paddle shifters in auto trans uses gas like crazy. That needs to be fixed.
Needs height adjustable seats and telescoping steering wheel.
Also could use a factory dead pedal placement.
Naivigation option would be great.

2007 Honda Fit Review:
A fun to drive subcompact with sports car moves. The steering on the Fit is very quick..quicker than my Porsche 996.

Acceleration is peppy and only adequate at best. The Fit was not designed to be a muscle car so don't expect tons of head snapping torque and acceleration. It can, however, zip you along fairly expeditiously while sipping gas and emitting low emissions. Thus making friends of Al Gore and the polar bears.

The interior is high quality and makes you think that you're driving a much more expensive vehicle.

Gas mileage is great as long as you stay under 70 mph. Speeds above 70 mph have a dramatic effect on gas mileage in the Fit.

The interior space is absolutely amazing...it can fit truly huge items.

Next to autocrossing it, the most fun thing to do with the Fit is to take it to the mall and fit it into teeny tiny parking spaces. What a hoot!

Honda has built a great economy car here that handles much like a more expensive sports car, but has the cargo attributes of a mini-van. Leave it to Honda to answer a question no one had quite asked.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Honda Fit?
Easy to park. Has a tight turning radius for driving in tight places.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Fit?
Seats are very uncomfortable and hard to adjust.
The interior is very noisy.
The radio is worthless, won't pick up a station if you can not see the radio station antenna.

Needs an armrest for the drivers seat.

Replacement tire choices are very limited. Always replace the tires with the Japanese made original tires or mileage may go down by 15-20%.

2007 Honda Fit Review:
Not worth the cost for what you get.

Most of my driving is on the expressway on cruse control at 65-70 MPH.

Recent mileage results as low as 23.35 MPG.

Pros: What do you like about 2007 Honda Fit?
Seat Versatility.

Cons: How would you improve 2007 Honda Fit?
Different Auto Transmission Gearing.

2007 Honda Fit Review:
The auto transmission searches gears when going up minor inclines. If they would change the gearing I think this could be a mute point. The cargo versatility in the back is unparalleled. An option for the high mpg engine offered elswhere should be an option. Front seats are supportive but could use more padding. But, at the end of the day, there is not a comparable car I would trade it for!
