Pros: What do you like about 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Midsize SUV for the price of a compact car.
Fully equipped.
Decent V6 power, nice ride. Nothing special but OK.
The looks are great, it is spacious and comfortable.
Comes very well equipped for a GL, w/passive and active safety gadgets std.
Built quality is improved and rivals other Japanese vehicles.
Finally, THE PRICE !!!!
Either they are not making money on these cars or the other competitors make too much...
That is why it is a great value.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe?
- The fuel economy is not great, for sure...needs improvement, but somewhat decent considering that is is not a compact SUV, but MIDSIZE. (Not the same size, interior space and weight as Ford Escape, Nissan Rogue or RAV4, even though they list these as its direct competitors).
- MP3 radio USB port!!!!
- I have had no experience with the dealerships or service centers yet (too soon) but I've heard very, very bad things from the reps here in Canada. Hope I don't have to deal with them soon...
I will publish and make public and scream and post and go to press if any warranties are not honored, you can take this to the bank-beware Hyundai dealers. - HYUNDAI, READ THIS.
- Rear coils are getting softer, front suspension is noisy, have heard of suspension problems before....
- Shiftronic shifter hard to get off park sometimes...
That's all, all other are irrelevant, who cares about the dash lights? You should be looking at the road... cheap faux wood? Chop down a tree and replace it if you want...

Good SUV, good ride, spacious, could use better fuel economy, specially with upcoming fuel prices... I bet the next 2012 model will...
Built quality nears Japanese.
The price is GREAT !!! By far the most important aspect of it all (if it increases for the 2012 model then the game changes)- HYUNDAI, READ THIS.
The first time a Corolla guy can afford a fully loaded, good quality, decent size, great looking SUV.

This vehicle is very nice for the price you pay for it. I purchased the limited edition. It has many of the options you would pay dearly for at most car dealers. That is except Acura and few others that believe your car is part of your castle. But fear not Hyundai is gaining in popularity but loosing their direction in customer service. Read below for the cons part.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Their (Hyundai) vehicles are getting better and better each year. The 2007 Santa Fe is no exception. The first service adventure cost me over, 500.00 that was just for the routine maintenance that the dealer said they always speed balance and rotate tires and charge for. The car came with a trailer towing package, but no trailer hitch-I could buy that for about 900. The rear seat entertainment headphones broke the first time a person tried to put it on (this was ignored when it went in for it's only service so far). The rear roof rack cap popped off during a car wash (first time it went through) and chipped, but Hyundai would not replce it. The rear ceiling light leaks like a water fall when going through a car wash, or heavy rain, but Hyundai says they cannot reproduce it. The rear seat belt clips popped out and I have no action from Hyundai as yet. This vehicle has less than 11,000 miles on it, can't wait to see what happens in the future.
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
I would not recommend anyone to purchase a Hyundai until they realize that a customer is where their business comes from. The vehicles are not bad by any means, but if you have one that needs repair they should cover, FORGET IT. The dealer will help some but if you have to go through the corporate customer service area--oh FORGET IT AGAIN!!!. They take your complaint, you do all the work of getting information together, faxing it, and the "nice" customer service agent in california sends it to a "REVIEW" group that come back and says "Hyundai's final decision is: it is not covered". If you do not mind paying for ALL maintenance and REPAIRS, buy one. Also check out my Elantra GT rating (or rather support rating).

Exterior is exceptional, love the colors, head and tail lights very nice attraction.

Exterior paint is pilling poor job, engine lights continues to stay on after several times in the repair shop. No improvement there. Please help.

I like everything about my limited edition Santa Fe except the rear coil springs are too soft. I think the driver side coil spring has collapsed just by looking at it compared to the passenger side. I told my dealer about it when we had our thirty thousand mile check up but they just laughed it off. That tire wears a lot more on the inside than any of the others.

Get some sturdier rear springs for safety sake.

It's a wonderful car except for the rear springs. I will not buy another one because of this and the fact that my dealer and nobody from Hyundai will listen to me about this fault. They act like I'm stupid.

The option to have 4 or 2 wheel drive, the look, the transmission option and the interior including the blue lights in the dashboard.

I have had nothing but problems since the second year that I have purchased my vehicle. The suspension all around just had to be changed, major problems with the gas tank, the gas gage not working because of fuel tank sensors having to have both of them replaced. Air and fuel intake problems causing to have the engine light to go on and off constantly and continues to this day without being able to pinpoint what is causing this. Having had my vehicle in the garage at the dealer on and off for 2 weeks and this during my family vacation which we didn't go far because of this and again this year which is my third year of having been the owner of this 2007 S/F, F/LOADED, 3.3 L which is costing me an arm an a leg in vacation time me having to go back and fourth for the same problems over and over again. I am not giving this vehicle its reputation, it is making it on its own, especially when I am asked how I like my vehicle..... I have had many smiles drop down quick when I am done telling them about my adventures, the term is being used because an adventure is what I got and not satisfaction.
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
I would no longer give a good word for a Hyundai Santa Fe. I would more then likely go back to North American made vehicles unless Hyundai Canada was to make me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Service department. 1.5 hr's for an oil change.
Asked for a hitch to be installed, they quoted 870.00 got it done for 350 with wiring at cap world.

We purchased a pre owned 2007 Santa Fe AWD Limited. So far, we really like the ride and the way it drives (drives like a car, with the SUV room). The car is very solid and would consider purchasing another Hyundai.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe?
The radio to show the stations programed, location of the power windows, continually locking the doors when trying to roll down the window.

I have an 08 limited AWD Santa Fe and absolutely love everything about it so far. Gas mileage isnt the best but its adequate for the spacey suv.

Over all this SUV has mostly every thing. It is a good driving vehicle, has great styling. The ride although a bit stiff, it is comfortable.It is almost a year old and I have not had any trouble with it what so ever. I would buy it again and recordmend it to anyone.
