Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Compass?
Had to replace ball joints at about 30,000 miles. Then had to replace tires as a result. Not a cheap fix.

For the money relative to features, it's the best price point on the market.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Compass?
This car as been an absolute disaster. Ever since I got it I had had problems with it stalling out any time it is wet or cold outside. It's a manual transmission and it will just suddenly drop in power as if it has a major exhaust leak or something like that. You are forced to slide the clutch at a high rpm to start up until it has warmed up (about 10 min). I took it into the shop 3 times with claims that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. I have been driving standards for over a decade, I'm aware when something isn't right. From there the car has just fallen apart mechanically. Catalytic converter was toast after about 60K miles. Tie rods and A-arms gone at 70K. At 75K the differential blew up and took the transmission with it. Dealership service has been awful throughout the experience.

Overall a car with countless manufacturing issues. Don't be tricked by the attractive sticker price, in the three years I've owned the vehicle I've spent over two months in the shop.

I have the 4x4 limited. Handles great in the snow.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Compass?
Had to have the front suspension repaired three times, steering, ball joints, rods, and struts. The factory wheels will not stay balanced. Any mud, snow or ice throw the wheels out of balance.

I have the limited compass.
I love the heated leather seats.
The ride.
The style & everything about it. It looks a lot better than those square looking Jeeps. You men stick to your ugly mudslingers.

Had to replace ball joints at 30,000 miles. One side was completely shot (way to go Chrysler $250.00) and because of that, had to replace tires ($550.00).
If you want a vehicle that drives well in snow, don't buy the 2WD. Worst vehicle I have ever driven in the snow and it doesn't matter how much is on the road. It could be barely covered and still awful!!!!

Would have been happier with 4WD or another vehicle all together. If I had known what I know now, I would have never bought the Compass.

Pretty durable, someone slammed on their brakes in front of me and I had very minimal damage.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Compass?
I had to replace the tie rods and ball joints at only 55,000 miles ($1500). That same problem also wore the tires down and had to replace those as well ($550).
And, have had stalling problems out of nowhere that I still have to get checked out. It has stalled numerous times just sitting at a stop light and in the morning when I first start it up, I let it run for a few minutes and it is still very sluggish and acts like it is about to stall when I go to pull out!
2007 Jeep Compass Review:
I thought Jeeps were supposed to be great vehicles and this is the first one I have owned, but I will never buy one again! I am very disappointed with this vehicle overall! My parents got one right after I did, and got rid of theirs already! If I wasn't upside down on the payments for mine, I would be happy to be rid of mine too!

Enjoy sitting up higher than a car.
With the back seats down enough room to tote what ever I need.

I love the size of it. I took a trip with 4 adults and l child with a car seat to Jacksonville, NC from Northwestern PA. And all fit comfortable and we had everything we needed in it for a week for all of us.
I love my Jeep and I would buy another one. I just had a problem with the intake and Chrysler backed it 100% with 45,000 miles on it.

I have no cons about my Jeep Compass. My step son even bought one and my son even thought of buying one but ended up buying a Jeep Wrangler. Jeeps run in the family.

Love the four wheel drive system.
Great turning radius and easy to park.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Jeep Compass?
Too much plastic on the dash and interior.
Had to replace lower ball joints and tie rod ends at 50,000 miles, I guess it is a real problem with Compass. Called Chrysler to see if they would stand behind this problem and they did not. If you need to replace the ball joints and tie rods don't go with the OEM parts or you will be replacing them again in another 25,000 to 30,000 miles.
2007 Jeep Compass Review:
I really like this Jeep product - the size, gas mileage. This is my second Jeep product and really like the dependability of Jeep and they use to stand behind their product, but ever since the bankruptcy I don't think they are as eager to stand behind their product and help their customers like they used to.
