Better paint. Mine is black, washed weekly, hand waxed with mothers carnuba wax at least two times a year, and clear coat is bubbling on roof. Unacceptable.
2007 Nissan Maxima Review:
Great car. Very little repairs. Someone forced my auto folding mirror in a parking lot and stripped it. A rock hit my left fog lamp. A set of brakes and a set of tires, lots of oil changes at 74000 miles, and that's it. Other than paint bubbling on roof, no complaints.

2007 Nissan Maxima Review:
I have not had my Maxima in the shop once for anything mechanical, now the paint job is another story. It is black and the swirls look awful when it is in the sun light. Had it back three times in the first week and they could not buff it out. I should have had them do this before I bought it.
The gas mileage is not even close to what they said it should be.
Otherwise I love the look and handling and of course all the bells and whistles.

This is my first owned Maxima, switching from a 2004 Altima.
I like the heated seats, sunroof, overall a sporty looking car.
I also like it because you can use your gear shift to go faster or slow down and kind of drive it like a stick.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Nissan Maxima?
It seems the Maxima runs hesitant like when you push on the gas. It seems like the car has to think about speeding up. To me it's sluggish and I liked my Altima better. I should have just gotten a newer Altima. I'm disappointed in the Maxima that I chose. I had it about 5 months and I have already experienced problems: it smells like a rotten egg when accelerating, they told me it was the wrong gas I am using, front driver wheel makes an awful nose but Nissan can never find the problem and I have complained 3 times. Gear shift gets stuck and won't go in reverse.
2007 Nissan Maxima Review:
I wish I had picked something else. It seems this car may have transmission problems in the near near future. It doesn't pick up speed too well. It's very hesitant for it to be a v6. It's also a gas hog!

Front chrome grill already had to be replaced because the chrome turned black.
Rear mud guard flimsy plastic and cracked, due to manufacture default.
2007 Nissan Maxima Review:
Bumper to bumper warranty would not cover cracked mud guard. To replace the mud guard you had to buy the rocker panel as well. $345.00 to repair. Only 22,000 miles on the vehicle, garaged in a heated garage. I was lead to believe that the warranty was better on foreign cars but quickly found out different.

Put Toyo tires back on the ride also make it more sound proof, the road noise is terrible, my 97 SE Max was much more sound proof than the 07 SL Max. Do away the the CVT it just drinks up your gas. (very bad idea)

Great performance with the 3.5 mated to the CVT. Car does look great, Dark Slate with the optional 18" Chrome Wheels.

Self locking doors, I am surprised that this feature has not been incorporated.
2007 Nissan Maxima Review:
So far this vehicle has been great. Purchased this vehicle for the wife and she loves it so far. (Replaced an Oldsmobile Intrigue) Got the SE model with every option except navigation. I would have rated the exterior a 5 except for a slight gap difference, driver's side hood/fender as compared to the opposite side. Most folks would not notice. Performance is fantastic and the CVT performs well.
