Pros: What do you like about 2007 Toyota RAV4?
Gas mileage.
Quality of building material and assembly.
Maneuverability is good.
Convenience of placement of refill units in engine compartment.
Great ground clearance.
Front wheel drive is wonderful to drive in all different road conditions.
It's nice to just do basic maintenance and turn the key and go nothing broken, inferior, needing to be fixed every 3 miles. Reliability is a great breath of fresh air. Feels like you are driving quality.
LOVE the mini trunk, favorite part of extras!
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Toyota RAV4?
4 wheel drive. Who in their right mind wants 4wd to "automatically" pop out at 27 miles per hour,-says 30mph in handbook. That is just dumb. 4hi/4l would be nice, or auto shut off at 35mph. I live in mountains. I use 4low a lot. Heavier duty suspension to support 4wd more, all models, common sense here.
Very car like, hard to get used to. A little soft and loose in turns unless fully loaded up in back.
2007 Toyota RAV4 Review:
I have to say this is a sturdy little car. Went from driving serious 4wd, to this - took getting used to.
Has not disappointed me in its quality. Best car for its grouping.
Mileage, front wheel drive, and that darned mini trunk are my favorite things.

I love my Rav4.
It drives smooth, excellent base model stereo, and storage is great.
It is great on gas, and reliable.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Toyota RAV4?
It is difficult to see out the back on the drivers side. The windows are tinted making everything too dark to see during a pitch black night; plus the interior is bulky, which I don't mind the design except that none of the back windows on the driver side is of much help. I would say about 4 ft of space to the drivers side rear is not easily visible. Quite difficult to back up while your entire body needs to be turned to be able to see out of the most difficult blind spots. I would not recommend this car to someone less flexible or with back problems for this reason.
In addition, though I enjoy a great base model stereo, when I first got the car the radio itself had to be replaced twice because it would freeze up and not let me change functions or radio stations. Better speakers would be great too, as sometimes they go out on me. But that's not all the time.
I love that there is optional 4wd when you need it, but unless there is a great amount of snow it turns off automatically. This is bothersome because where I live some roads could be plowed, unplowed, or semi-plowed. Since it turns off automatically, if I am on a road that is not so bad the 4wd turns off. If I move onto a road that is worse I start to feel the affects of not having the 4wd on. In uncertain conditions like these, wouldn't you think that it would be safer to have the 4wd stay on during the entire trip?

I like the Rav4's performance overall, its power and drive-ability. I chose the Rav4 due to Toyota's reputation for dependability.
Cons: How would you improve 2007 Toyota RAV4?
The Rav4 has three distinct problems which Toyota fails to recognize or resolve.
The oil hose broke on my Rav4 at 23,000 miles, emptying the engine of oil.
The power steering unit is knocking when turned and will have to be replaced.
The Rav4 has a reputation of suddenly accelerating without explanation.
I have experienced the first two problems already on a relatively new automobile. After having these issues, I searched on line and discovered that it is a common problem with Rav4 owners. Toyota fails to notify owners that if they do not replace the power steering unit before 36,000 miles it will not be covered by warranty. Toyota has been my favorite vehicle, but I would think twice after these expensive and potentially dangerous experiences before I would purchase another, or recommend them to anyone else.

A very good all-around small suv for the money.With 3.5 six,it has plenty of power-even pull my fourwheeler behind it on a golf cart trailer and don't even no it's there! Gas mileage is great! 20mpg in town and have gotten a best of 27 out on the road with overdrive and cruise control being used.We don't even have the sport level, and love it the way it is! stereo is very good-one of the best for sound we have had in many years.Utility is a shinning point also-can carry alot of baggage and love the below the deck storage door! Back seat is great with it's mobility forward and aft! love our Rav4!!! The Prices-Spokane,WA.

A nice compact truck truck.There are things that can be improved such as the rear door opening and the tire on the outside of door.The base radio sounds terrible.Also the truck jerks when accelerating in the base model without the V6.

I've had my car for 3 weeks and I really like it. I'm getting 24 mpg -not bad. The 3rd row is small, but perfect for my 5 year old boys. There's little storage in the back when the 3rd row is being used0.
