Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
Looks.
Sound.
Interior space.
Features.
MPG.
Onstar with phone and turn-by-turn, etc.
Remote starter.
Roadside assistance.
Seems to stay cool even in dark colors on hot sunny days.
Dark tinted windows.
Sound system.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
Cup holder locations.
Window controls need to be on each door and not the front driving console near floor.
Want all companies to improve mpg 30 is good today but got 42 in the mid 80's so shape up car companies. 30 is good but we need 100mpg.
Make front windshield taller or lower seats because cant see stop lights without bending over to peer out.
2008 Chevrolet HHR Review:
I love the car and can forgive the few issues it has. Mine is a special addition with shadow package. It has 1 year onstar and 130 minutes of sat-phone useage for 15$ I Like the sport suspension and even the power seems good on the 2.2 engine (i didnt buy it to race..LOL) Turning ration is very nice. It is very surefooted and handles very well. It is very quiet for this type of vehicle. I would compare it to my '02 Impala that is my favorite vehicle ever.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
I bought an HHR SS.
Love the looks of the car!
The performance is outstanding.
Very good mileage.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
Too much plastic in the interior.
Too many rattles for a car with 22k on the clock.
Small spot of rust on the rear door already.
The SS Turbo model needs premium gasoline.
2008 Chevrolet HHR Review:
It's a sharp looking car. A real eye catcher.
Engine runs well with great performance.
Interior could be much better. Way too many rattles.

2008 Chevrolet HHR Review:
I am quite shocked to read some of these reviews about the rattles and stuck gearshifts and such. I haven't had one thing go wrong with mine. Maybe I just got lucky but I do love that little car. I have an 08 Silverado also and find myself driving the HHR all the time. I will NOT buy a foreign namplated car...PERIOD! Even if it IS made in the States. When you go get your loan to pay for the car guess where the money goes...out of our economy and into the foreign economy weakening ours (like we need that) and strengthening theirs. That is THE worst thing a working man can do...buy a foreign car.

2008 Chevrolet HHR Review:
There is not one thing I like about my 2008 HHR.
The battery replaced 3k.
Gear shift stuck don't remember the mileage.
Brakes metal 2 metal 6k.
Driver strut blown at unknown miles.
Dealer could not find out all the rattling under front end. I just recently found it to be a strut. Plan on going back to dealer and bitch my ass off till they replace the strut, and if I have any problems getting it done, they will very very quickly find they have lost my future business.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
Styling, sound, etc.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
At 12,000 miles, my HHR SS has began to have turbo flux and I get a grinding noise in 2nd gear that goes away with speed. Neither the Chevy dealership or GM will do anything about it since my car isn't showing any codes. I was pretty much told to drive it until a light comes on, and until then, just deal with it. NOT happy at all and wouldn't recommend buying one. Before this, it was an awesome car; loved it. Now, I am disappointed that this Chevy is doing this and furthermore, that Chevy refuses to do anything about it.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
Loved the looks of this when, I first saw it. I've only had mine a week. I got a sweet deal on the net from the dealer.
I still haven't had it long enough to determine my over all MPG on the car yet.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
The tilt steering either needs to go lower or, the arm rests need to be raised. Could have a second seat cup holder in the back.
2008 Chevrolet HHR Review:
I've not had this car long enough to make a full determination of it.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
It's a beautiful looking car (I regularly have people coming up and asking me about it and complimenting me on the color) - mine's bright orange with chrome wheels and roof rack. It gets good gas mileage as well.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet HHR?
I bought the car new and drive it almost exclusively on open highways and the freeway.
The sunroof made a bizarre screeching noise the very first time I opened it (the day I took delivery) and has been an unrepairable nightmare (the dealer has created more issues with the sunroof and headliner than it has "fixed").
The interior had so many rattles at 25K, you'd swear the car was built in the Soviet Union - 30 years ago.
The front-end suspension and steering column (apparently GM is suing its steering component supplier due to the incredible number of warranty claims it's been experiencing) are a sea of mystery clunks and rattles.
Did I mention the manual transmission is almost impossible to engage from a dead stop (neutral to first) on a flat surface?
I could go on and on, but if you doubt the HHR is anything other than a rolling garbage pile, buy one. I dare you.
2008 Chevrolet HHR Review:
If an HHR owner tells you it's a great car, there's an excellent chance their odometer hasn't passed the 5 digit mark yet. It seems this vehicle was only built to last a year or two. Beware. Be very aware.
