Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Since we bought the LT extended version, the entertainment system was standard and the bonus of 2 sets of wireless earphones was a godsend.

The communication screen with the different sets of info such as the number of miles left to drive on the amount of gas in tank, the tire pressure in each tire, even the overall MPG combined (in my case, 20.4) gives helpful info. Even gives percent of oil change time remaining.

The suspension and the handling are the best I have ever driven in any vehicle. Since it was the LT, the interior was quite superior in every respect.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
The gas cap was attached with plastic, not a good idea.

The rear bumper below the hatch back door is a plastic composite and prone to scarring if one is careless when unloading items at the landfill..

Human stupidity over engineering every time. Only cost $100. to repair like new. Not bad.

2008 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
When I purchased this vehicle, it had already been discontinued. As a result, I had to settle for a slightly used, (8,000miles) vehicle and travel out of state to find it.

Turned out to be a good move as I saved over $10,000 for basically a new auto. Now has 28,000 trouble free miles and hope for 100,000 as I would hate to part with it.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Very satisfied with our Uplander. Runs smooth as silk for an extended length Van. Excellent get up and go for highway driving, all the bells and whistles are still working perfectly as well. Lots of space for long distance driving with our two four footed animals, smooth ride helps with them too. Milage not bad. I'd tell any of my friends it's a good vehicle if they were shopping for a Van. We put on about 12,000 miles a year.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Interior is so~so. I find it looks very plastic, and wonder how long those door handles will last. TPM system, oh my yes that thing is a real pain. We took ours in saying all 4 flat as well. Two sensors were defective and had to be replaced with less than 3,000 miles on the Van. The glove compartment door fell off, one little hinge holds that on---made of plastic as well. Attention to little details would help.

2008 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
All in all, with now approx. 15,000 miles of mainly highway driving this has been a very good vehicle. However, as we all know, don't ask till we've got at least 60,000 miles + if we think a vehicle is really good or not.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Fuel economy for the size is great

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Crush it and make something reliable!

2008 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
This is the worst vehicle I have ever driven, it's cramped, the interior is cheap plastic and rattles in the back.
Over the last 3 years (63500 KM) I have had it into the dealer about once every 2 months for the following:
ABS issues (twice)
Headlights shorted out, first one, then a month later the other
Front flashers shorted out
Had cracked spark plugs causing loss of power on acceleration, back at the dealer now with the same symptoms
Power steering rack replaced
Struts replaced
Brake issues (lack of stopping power, rattles, squeaks)
Stability control system sometimes activates making a sharp turn, sometimes when pulling out onto the road over a low curb
Scary amount of torque steer

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Handles well in the snow and bad driving conditions.
Sits up high.
Good steering, acceleration and brakes.
Rear seats fold down for lots of room.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Door locks/key fabs constantly not working.
Paint peeling around 3rd rear light.
Paint shows lots of easily scratched scratches and marks.
Cheap hub caps.
Cheap all season tires.
Radio electric system constantly acting up.
Gas gauge reading incorrect amount of gas.
Tire pressure monitor reading incorrect.
Chevy bow tie constantly having to be replaced b/c it deteriorates.

2008 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
This is my second brand new GM vehicle. My first was a 2006 GMC Canyon.
After having my daughter, I decided to buy my Uplander for more room.

It will be 3 this October. I've had it back to the dealership for repairs of everything I've outlined above way too many times to count.
GM has never recognized this nor have they apologized for any inconvenience their lack of attention to detail and quality has caused me.

My father is a retired GM employee of 35 years. if not for his discount and loyalty to the company, I would have not purchased this vehicle.
We have decided that from here on in we will NEVER buy another GM product again. When my financing and warranty for my Uplander is finished in 4 years (if it lasts that long) I will look at other car companies and their products.

I believe GM cares more for quantity than quality, and as an experienced and professional customer care representative myself, that is not the way to go, especially when manufacturing and providing vehicles.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
We've got over 115000 km on it, mostly hwy driving. It's peppy, drives well, and is fair on gas. There is plenty of room for families and most controls are within easy reach. Paint job is standing up well.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Improve resale value. We bought it at huge discount with 0% financing over 72 months. We still owe more than it's worth on a trade so GM will have to wait for us to buy another new vehicle until things catch up.

2008 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
We are going to drive this one into the ground. All tolled, we are paying about $450 a month including repairs and ongoing maintenance. Nuisance items needing repairs include: glove box lock, both bowties deteriorate, front wheel bearings, rear wiper motor(defective design), seat covering pulling apart. Because of the poor resale value, we may consider buying Toyota or Honda next time.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Good looking vehicle.
No major problems.
Like all the bells and whistles.
It has decent fuel economy.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Too much plastic! Lots of minor problems. The plastic hinge on my glovebox is broken.
Minimal leg room when seated in the second row.
Removing the seats and reinstalling them is like a trip to the gym, very heavy.
Problems with electric sliding doors.
Problems with keyless entry fobs.
And so on and so on.....

2008 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
In my opinion the Uplander is a good family vehicle. If more attention had been given to details, it could've been a great all around vehicle.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Drives good.
Seats adjust easily.
Lots of space in the inside.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
The back seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat on. There are no arm rests on the middle seats and it is very hard to keep balance on curves or turning corners.
The seat belts are very tight and a person can't move, let alone breathe once the belt locks in place.
We just returned from a trip out of state and I sat in the back. My hip is still sore from the trip and we have been three days at home. I used pillows and anything else I could find to cushion my legs. Even changed seats several times to get relief. Spent most of the trip on the larger seat at the back and kept my legs propped up on the seat and used pillows. This was more comfortable, but still not good. Had a hard time fixing the seat belt so it wasn't so tight and used a pillow to help.
The next time I get a car, I'm riding in the back for the trial, so I can see what others have to put up with. If it rides like my Uplander, I definitely won't buy it. Sorry, I can't think of anything good to say about riding on those seats.
My husband hates the tire pressure light. It comes on even after we get the tires serviced.

Nice looking car. Drives good.
Wouldn't buy another one - very uncomfortable seats.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
I like the style, power, comfort and it's easy to drive.
I have two kids and they like it too.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Like many other people have probably experienced, I'm having trouble with the tire monitoring system. It sucks. If I could have it removed I would. I've put more air in all fours and taken it to more shops than any other car I've owned and still no luck. I even took it back to the dealership and they supposedly claimed to have fixed this problem, but everyday my lights come on. Personally I don't think they did anything but take advantage of a woman.

Also, the rubber at the bottom of my sliding door on the passenger side has come off and the sliding door on the opposite side internally is coming apart. The materials are cheap and quality is poor!

The is my second Chevy purchase and needless to say I will not purchase another one in the future - I don't care if someone gave it to me for free I would sell it immediately!

Drives great, good in snow and ice, comfortable, has DVD player and MP3 port so that's fun for those long drives with children.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Wish it had a bit more room for cargo.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Nothing.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?
Everything, hate it!!!! Have had every possible thing go wrong with this van! Will never touch another Chevy!!!!!

Even the paint had a defect, after owning it for a year, I had to get it repainted, (covered under extended warranty) thank god!

And now my transmission is blown! and fighting with company to replace the transmission under warranty, like I was already told!

2008 Chevrolet Uplander Review:
Don't buy it, unless you like spending money on a piece of crap!! My father in law's 2000 Chevy drives better then this 2008!!
