I love the gas milage on the car. I have cut down on my gas costs alot since I purchased the car. Drives well and has a great warranty.

Acceleration. It is a bit slow because it is a hybrid

It is a fun vehicle to drive..easy in traffic, plenty of interior room, lots of pickup for a small SUV, and love the color green!
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid?
The "winter" gas mileage is misleading..it isn't good. It's more of a warm weather vehicle...gas mileage questionable. I would love to see that improved.

The lines are strong for 2008 - higher-set doors, hoodline, front-end. My wife and I love the new styling. The fule economy is great for a smaller SUV.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid?
Front-seat interior room is limited - not much room for turning around in your seat or storage for extras I've become accostomed to carrying in the front of the car with me. I traded in a Chevy Suburban for the fuel economy - but feel cramped in this front seat area.

To compare this vehicle to it's competition - the Saturn VUE, and the Toyota Highlander, Ford Escape Hybrid steps out and away the winner in my eyes. Fit and finish are superior to the Saturn and the price difference makes the Toyota Hybrid SUV out of our reach - we are satisfied we made a good choice and after 9,000 miles, have NO complaints with its performance.

Implement a system like the upcoming Porsche where you can choose to run in electric mode exclusively up to a certain mph.
2008 Ford Escape Hybrid Review:
Very pleased with the utility nature of this vehicle. The hybrid technology needs some getting used to and adapting ones driving habits for best fuel economy. After 1000 miles of driving the 2008, I have had no problems. I am not so sure the $695 cost of the upgraded audio system is worth its cost as I don't think the "audophile" system in this vehicle is nearly as good as the one in my 2004 F150. Brakes take some getting used to as they work differently depending on the stage they are in when applied.
Overall, a great little suv that serves it's purpose as much as I expected.

allow the AC to work on battery power only, like most other hybrids. Rear seat DVD player and flip down TV would be a great option.

Cornering takes a bit of time to get used to, for the vehicle sways too much with the extra battery weight.

Very "peppy" engine with good response. Good over-all gas mileage.

Seats are very firm with lack of lumbar support. Better design of rear seats when folded, need a place to store head rests.

Lack of shifts with the CVT tranmission takes getting use to. Good seating position for driver, controls are within easy reach.

I love mine. Comfortable ride both city and interstate. Seats have great lumbar support, love the interior. I did get the nav system and leather.

Only option that I would have liked to have is a back up camera.
