Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Fusion?
I have a 2008 SEL leather with 2.3 manual. The 2.3 ltr has good pick up when foot on the gas, but has short shifting ratio and revs at 3,000 rpm when at 110KM/Hr - most cars cruise at about 2,000 rpm.
Lots of engine noise. The new ones are much better with a 2.5 ltr engine.
My Sound system is great and car is great on gas. Not bad to most I've seen. Mazda has a 2.3 ltr and same thing.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Fusion?
Bigger engine 2.5 - it's done. I drove one and ride was amazing. Good job FORD. To late for me.

So far, so good.

Low miles.
Sales people were outstanding.
Service is number one.

My only regret, not AWD. But, will be garaged 4 months during the ice age months.

Love the performance and gas mileage.
The seats are extremely comfortable.

I have the exact same problem that Robert had with a hole on the side of the driver's seat in a non weight bearing area. The seat cover material looks paper thin so I'm not surprised it has already ripped. I just happened to hear an interview on NPR about the people that design the interiors of Ford vehicles. They were mostly concerned about designing interiors with environmentally friendly materials instead of materials that could handle people sitting on the seats for more than two years!

The sleek look is stylish and I constantly hear what a nice car it is. The interior is much nicer than many cars for this price range.
Love the sync, leather seats and moon roof.
This car is great on gas- I own the I4-SE and purchased it brand new.
Front seat folds down making more room when my wife travels in the back with our son.
Great vehicle for the price.

Pick up could be better for a I-4. My parents' Altima is an I4 and has much better pickup.
Stereo system could use some improvement - not as good as my previous vehicles.
Ford should consider adding shift tronic shifting since it is a sporty sedan.
2008 Ford Fusion Review:
I drove a top of the line Nissan Maxima before this car and love my Fusion. It is a great car and was worth every dollar. No regret for the price. Ford did a good job with this vehicle.

Beware of the poor quality of the seat cover material. Ours developed a hole on the side of the driver's seat in a non weight bearing area. The hole revealed the material is paper thin. We contacted our dealership and in turn Customer Relations to complain of the inferior material that was used. Ford claimed the hole was ordinary wear and tear and refused to repair the damage. How many cloth car seats develop holes in 3 years with 40,000 miles when the driver is a 70 year old male?

A very good all round car. I have driven a Ford product since retiring 25 years ago. I keep them for about four years and then deal. I try the others but always go back to Ford. I have been very satisfied.

The room! I still cannot believe they consider this a mid-size vehicle. I do know that the 2010's look a bit smaller. Not the 2008, nice leg room and the back seat has tons of leg room. At highway speeds the car just glides and the 6cyl makes passing so much easier.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Fusion?
For some reason the pick-up in this car is not that strong (maybe it's just mine). However it is only a 3litre vehicle. So far not much more to report.
2008 Ford Fusion Review:
Best money I have spent on a car so far. With the price I paid I got a lot more then I bargained for. Ford has done well with this vehicle!

This car kicks butt!
V6 has lots of power.
Interior is spacious for a mid sized sedan.
Sound system is great for stock and you don't have to turn it up very loud to hear it because the cab is very quiet even at highway speeds.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Fusion?
More power ports and need more cup holders in the back seat.
2008 Ford Fusion Review:
My wife wanted a Camry and we test drove several. We just fell into a test drive of the Fusion because we couldn't find the Camry she wanted and after 5 min in this car we were sold. Thank you Ford for finally getting it right!
