Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Taurus X?
Great Vehicle.
Great performance.
Excellent styling in and out.
The sunroof is beautiful and a welcome feature, so is the tinted glass.
Very pleasing to the eye.
Very relaxing ride by any standard.
Elegant design.
The AWD is a welcome option.... it is just great.
Overall, I'm exided to call my 2008 Taurus X Limited Edition ADW my own..... I'm proud of it.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Taurus X?
There are always people who will be critical but.. not always justifiable.
If there is an engine like a V6 with 263 HP, the gas mileage cannot be much lower as been offered. Stop the wishful thinking and face reality! All luxury vehicles have the same criteria. Would you care if the gallon would be 24 cents, as it was in the good old times? Of course not!

2008 Ford Taurus X Review:
This is a very good looking crossover AWD. Its design is elegant and yet still sporty in performance and a delight to drive by any weather.

Its safety features are outstanding, just look at the Government ratings.

If you have to question the Gas-mileage...then perhaps this vehicle is not for you.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Taurus X?
Not much to not like. I travel for work, 40-50 thou a year. The best driver seat I have encounter in 20 plus years. For vehicle size and comfort - fuel mileage is good. 25-27 highway.

Like the high compression engine ability to slow rather quickly. Does save on brakes. Ride far exceeds the quality of the previous 2 Dodge Caravans I had.

Handling is great - love the AWD.

Overall I think Ford missed the mark by discontinuing this model - poor marketing of a good vehicle.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Taurus X?
Come on FORD, how could you put wipers like these on a vehicle and expect to not get negative reviews?
A few interior PLASTIC parts could certainly fit better.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Taurus X?
We bought one 3 weeks ago and are liking it more each day. Got a great deal at a dealer.

So much room inside. Sometimes we take turns sitting in the 3rd row while the other drives. The middle row is stored and it's like a limo...havin' some fun. We have a two year old son and another on the way.

This vehicle is great on the highway, decent mileage. 27 to 29 miles/gal.

Still finding more features on the vehicle.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Taurus X?
Corners good for a suv but we still wish it was a better handler. May install better shocks down the road.

Need to find the factory keyless code.

2008 Ford Taurus X Review:
Did a lot of research before choosing this vehicle but still surprised how good it really is. We have a black sel with grey trim. Happy it has the air bags and 3 row curtains too. Great machine.

2008 Ford Taurus X Review:
I like the looks and the fact that it is a comfortable 6-passenger vehicle. We own a Freestyle and I had planned to buy a new one (ours is a 2007) and give the old one to our college student when she graduated. Then Ford retires the Freestyle and comes up with the Taurus X. I think the Freestyle looks better and I get great mileage: 22-32 mph depending on how much in-town driving I do. Why did Ford mess up on this? Now they don't even have the X and I don't like the Flex or Edge. I want the comfort and good mileage of my Freestyle without the poor mph and higher cost of their idea of a replacement. Everyone is right about the fact that Ford has never advertised the FreeStyle or the X. It's like they made them, but really didn't want to sell them? If I can't find what I'm looking for with the value I want, I will have to go elsewhere. And we have owned only Fords for decades. Too bad. Ford, I hope you go on these blogs and maybe get the hint. I have read that sentiment on many blogs.

Outside temperature gauge should be standard on all models.

2008 Ford Taurus X Review:
I was looking at the Flex, when my uncle showed me his Taurus X. Loved it immediately. Then I was lucky to find an '08 SEL AWD with only 13,000 miles on it. This is the best riding vehicle I've ever owned. Smooth, quiet and powerful. We loaded it up and drove from Jersey to Florida. Rides like a dream. Averaged 20mpg. I love this car. Too bad Ford dumped it for the Flex, (which is only 2 inches longer, with the same engine and seating layout). If you can find a low mileage Taurus X, buy it.

Limited has everything anyone would ever want.
Really like the power pedals/mirrors with memory feature.

Not the greatest on gas mileage.

2008 Ford Taurus X Review:
Why would the bean counters at Ford choose the flex over the Taurus X? Flex is downright ugly - no thought to style anywhere.

I love the styling of the interior and the space of the back two row of seating.
I like the entertainment systems and the fact that stowing the seats are so easy to do.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Taurus X?
I know that it is a 6 passenger vehicle but I was told it got 21 in town and 24 on the highway and so far I have gotten 17 in town and 22 on the highway.

2008 Ford Taurus X Review:
Great car and has more room than any other suv. Great for parents who aren't quite ready for that minivan look and still want a stylish family car.

Ride and interior configurations..
Very roomy..
Handles well for an AWD wagon..

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Taurus X?
The roof rack is a troubling feature as Ford does not sell cross bars, but, REI etc. does sell aftermarket accessories for it..

Road noise can get excessive at higher speeds but is fractional compared to others.

In extreme cold weather the floors are very cold and the windshield does not defrost well...

The wipers are a joke, both front and rear..

Overall it is a great vehicle... Has plenty of power, handles well and drives smoothly.. Ford has a few things to work out, but this car is very safe and I would put it up against any car in its class...

We have all the bells and whistles on the Limited AWD.
Great layout.
So versatile and very comfortable.
Sync is fantastic.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Taurus X?
The back half of the roof rack is worthless. They have no way of tyng anything down.
Also, instead of the hard plastic panels on the door, it would be better to have a little more leather.

2008 Ford Taurus X Review:
All around great vehicle. Can't imagine why Ford walked away from this vehicle and replaced it with overpriced and ugly Edge and Flex (especially the Flex).

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Ford Taurus X?
My Ford Taurus X Limited drives smoothly & has lots of room for both people & storage.
Plenty of power, fast pickup.
We loaded the car down with 4 adults, 2 children & attached a cargo carrier with 4 large plastic tubs. We traveled over 4,200 miles in less than 2 weeks with no problems.
Mine has the DVD player (great to keep the kids entertained on the long trip).

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Ford Taurus X?
Gas mileage needs to be better. I'm getting about 21.5 mpg. was hoping for around 27 mpg.

2008 Ford Taurus X Review:
This is a great family suv. I have all the luxury amenities (leather heated seats, DVD, Sync, dual a/c for the 3rd row seats, & back up sensors). Great driving for both short distances & long trips. Too bad Ford doesn't advertise this model. It's a lot cheaper than the Flex & has all the bells & whistles.
