Pros: What do you like about 2008 GMC Canyon?
It's a good looking truck and caries the lines like teh full size models.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 GMC Canyon?
The truck comes stock with rear drum brakes and they have been a problem since I bought the truck. Multiple visits to the dealers repair shop but no fix. Assembly it is evident that the quality control on the assembly line is lacking as components of the truck are constantly coming loose. If the product Quality control is going to lack than GMC should offer a premium warranty.
The truck should come optional with a turbo option for the I4 and I5 motors.

You get what you pay for.

I like the style of the Canyon. Sharp looking, and is good size.

Small box size on crew cab model.
Better interior.
Door handles' positions to get in and out of the truck better.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 GMC Canyon?
This Truck is a bit bigger than the S - 10 or the S - 15
Which it replaced, I have owned 4 S-10 trucks from 1984 to 2009.

I have been driving General Motor products since 1970 and this is by far the most poorly built and cheaply put together GMC vehicle that I have owned, the only car which beat this one was a "1973 Fiat" 124.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 GMC Canyon?
There are too many items to consider to make this into a replacement for the S-10. This is just a much cheaper product which seem to have been stuck together with very low quality products and should really have been sold through "Wall Mart". This vechicle does not qualify for the GMC Label.
Does the General think we are all fools?

2008 GMC Canyon Review:
I own this 2008 Canyon and the quality is very poor compared to the S-10. THE 3.7 l engine is under powered and the gas mileage is not nearly as good, the body metal is very thin and rattles, the door hardware is poor quality, upholstery is a poor imitation, switches and dials are cheap, and plastic everywhere. In general, this truck can not be considered a truck at all.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 GMC Canyon?
I cant say really anything good about this vehicle, rather disappointed, I get big truck fuel mileage and even worse when we are pulling a small load.
On star is the only good thing about my truck!

Cons: How would you improve 2008 GMC Canyon?
I have 3100 miles on my crew cab Canyon 08 that I bought new last year in 2009. I have already gone threw two sets of bran new tiers, if the tranny fluid gets a tiny bit low it will sift very hard (only a tbl spoon or two low). I constantly worry that this truck will leave me stranded and I live over 200 miles from any town (very rural Nevada, my daughter has a seizure disorder and I have to take her 600 miles to salt lake and am fearful of the drive in the Canyon.

My tires were purchased on July 31st 09, not even eight months, only 16000 miles and I already need new tires, the tires that came on the truck when purchased only lasted 14122 miles. I would like to know if any one else has these problems and if they have gotten any help. I have taken my truck in and it's always the same, everything's good, when hello it's not! I don't need the added expense of having a lemon on top of everything else!
