Pros: What do you like about 2008 Hyundai Sonata?
I have owned this car for a little over a year now. Bought used from a dealer in Fairfield Ohio and thus far as with the last Hyundai I owned (Accent), it has proven to be a very reliable car.
Perfect for road trips and family vacations. The 4Cylinder is plenty powerful enough and gets great mileage on long trips. Have gotten as high as 37mpg. Made several trips from Cincinnati to Indianapolis and back and Once I got back to Cincinnati I barely used 1/2 a tank.
It's very quiet riding and smooth. 4 speed transmission sometimes forgets to shift, but thanks to the shifttronic,I can make it shift if need be.
Hyundai has been very reliable for me thus far and I look forward to my next purchase when the time comes.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Sonata?
A 5 speed auto would have been nice for this configuration.
Could ask for better combined city/ highway fuel mileage.
2008 Hyundai Sonata Review:
Great car for the money. Beats the pants off of Honda hands down. I have no reason to think of buying another car other than Hyundai as long as they continue their quality and reasonable prices.

Purchased used 2008 V6 Ltd with 38K miles.
Awesome interior comfort, especially the heated leather seats.
Very comfortable.
Great price.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Sonata?
Fixed valve lifters make me nervous. Go to hydraulic lifters.
Also, the brakes have a history of premature wearout in this model. Allow the used car buyer to carry over the 100K Miles warranty.
2008 Hyundai Sonata Review:
Love the car, although we had a couple of minor issues with the car when we bought it. We bought it used from a non-Hyundai dealer. The rear window was missing a couple of bolts that allowed the window to lower very slowly. Also, it had a bad battery. The local dealer fixed those with no problems, but the positive battery clamp was bad and came off so I had to take it back one more time. Eventually they got everything right and we love the car.

Nice Drive.
Safety features.
Roomy feel.
Design is very classy.
Trunk space is largest I have ever seen.
'08 Limited has a lot of nice clean trim (chrome, carbon fiber).
Really nice infinity sound system.
Large glove box.
Nice headroom for us taller individuals.
Low road noise.
Nice premium wheels/low profile tires on the limited series.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Sonata?
Throttle tip-in should be more progressive as wheel spin is too easily induced especially w/ slick surfaces and this also leads one to too easily appreciate the great motors torque, MPG on the 3.3 could be better.
Leg room is nice, but not for taller individuals sitting in both front and back (comparable to most vehicles though).

Comfort, ease of adjusting car to me, efficient use of room, handling and DRY acceleration, view outward in all direction very good w/ no high sill or low roof intrusiveness as way too many other cars now have like Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger/Magnum, among others.

Memory option for power seat, mirrors, steering wheel would just freaking kill the competition! 2008 Hyundai Sonata Review:
Rented several and put about 4 kmi on them, and enjoyed just about every mile. Feels substantial but reacts very well to input. Some rear axle tramp and bump noise not as well controlled as multilink set-up should be. Steering is a little numb requiring more pointing rather than feeling what is happening between tires and road. Last one had odd body/wind noise frt left A pillar that came and went - this was first w/ moonroof, so?. Would I buy one? -trying very hard to get wife to choose this over similarly price M/B as I really think this is a sweet vehicle for $.

my sonata has a horrible smell inside that i cannot get rid of, i purchased it with the smell and brought it back and they couldn't do anything about it.

The warranty is the best. The features on the SE model are functional and beautifull. The V6 is quick and the Shiftronic Transmission (auto/standard) is a lot of fun. The quality fit and fitness is top notch and I compared it to the new Toyota Camry since that's what I had before. Toyota and Honda truly have head to head quality compitetion with this car and the Hyundai Sonata beats them hands down with the Best warranty. After purchaseing this one and driving it we are now considering a second one so we have look alike cars. The standard features are among the best in class by far.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Sonata?
I'm not sure what else one could ask for in a car of this caliber that they haven't already thought of. If you can't find your way around with a map, maybe a navigation system would be nice.
