Pros: What do you like about 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
Great car in every way except for the false mileage claims by the salesperson. He told us we should expect about 6 L per 100 KM. It has never been better than 10.6 L per 100 KM with the cruise set at 100K on a level highway with no wind.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
Fuel mileage is just plain bad.

2008 Hyundai Tucson Review:
Love the car but hate the fuel guzzling V6. My Ford F150 does just as good with a big V8.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
V6 4 wheel drive.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
Our nearest warranty dealership is 50+ miles away from where we live.
Hyundai USA can be very SLOW in resolving issues.

2008 Hyundai Tucson Review:
Our ABS light came on and after local service, we were referred to a Hyundai dealership 50+ miles away. We were told it was ok to drive--just maybe not have brake lights then the esc light came on and off and the 4 wheel light was blinking and the TPMS light would come on for a while and then go off. 3 days before the appointment, we parked it after having driven it 2 miles and a motor sound came on. Immediately took to the local dealer and while there, the wires melted around the ABS module and caused a small fire ($6,000 worth of damage). It was towed to nearest Hyundai dealer and we are having to jump through hoops to get them to admit this was a warrantied part that caught fire before it could be replaced. We are into our second month now trying to get a resolution. It is not endearing us to them or to EVER purchasing another Hyundai because they are in NO HURRY to get it resolved. It only has approx 25,000 miles on it.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
Standard heated seats...especially in Canada.
Excellent warrant coverage, the service people don't wait for me to bring up problems...they go ahead and fix them.
Good visibility.
Lots of airbags (just in case).
Lots of interior space for four people.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
The power of the 2.0 liter engine is lacking but that's the one I picked so I guess I'm stuck with it.
Wish the cup-holders had inserts for easier cleaning.
The rear cargo area floor is easily marked by objects.

2008 Hyundai Tucson Review:
Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. It's not a luxury vehicle and certainly not huge, but for people who want inexpensive dependable transportation with a five year warranty, this is not a bad choice.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
Easy to drive, easy fold down seats, easy for car seat and stroller. Service department is nice LOL.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
ESC light came on at 3000 miles was fix and now check engine light is coming on. Taking to a service dept tomorrow. The visor mirror cover broke as well, they are fixing it since still under warranty. Good thing for warranties!

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
Looks good! Easy to put seats down for more room.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
Gas mileage. Oil leak at less than 200 miles. Check engine light at less than 250 miles. I have had the car a little over 3 weeks and it has been in the service dept at the dealership twice.

2008 Hyundai Tucson Review:
After having my new Tucson for 5 days I discovered an oil leak. Took to the dealership and they fixed it. A couple days later the check engine light came on. Will take in tomorrow for them to check it. I am so far not very happy with my purchase.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
Great safety features for price point. vehicle is solid and built well.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Hyundai Tucson?
The addition of a five speed automatic as opposed to the four speed would be great. In addition I think the dash could be designed with a little more flavor.
